Not the end of the world but is a massive setback.

All had their stinker moments. Vinny's defending of the 1v1 v Sessegnon was as bad as it gets; truly incompetent. That should have been Sunderland 1 up.

We should of had a point. The lino should of kept up with the game and ruled the goal out.

It would be so much easier to take a defeat or a draw if it was deserved but they never are.

Fulham-dzeko fouled before the second goal.
Chelsea-absolute stone wall pen ignored at 1-0.
Wba-onside goal given offside.
And now sunderland-he was offside.

you'r analysis is horrible. Dzeko didn't play last 2 games because of injury, and before these games he only played 40-60 minutes in 4-5 GAMES so don't talk if you don't know whats going on. Maybe he didn't have the best game today but he hit a crossbar (if it went in you would be calling him a hero now), he also created good chances for other players that didn't get the ball in the net.

to be fair, a goal in the dying minutes of extra time is dramatic...i'd expect a commentator to big up the moment. it's dramatic.

if we can't win a match like WBA or Sunderland with squad rotation then we're fucked. End of story. That's not arrogance, it's reality.

Mancini needs to have a look at every player in the eye and see who wants this....

My $0.02

We wouldnt have scored in that game if we'd played for 7 hours. Too ponderous in getting the ball forward, with the speed of passing, ball movement and distribution in the final third exceedingly poor. We made Sunderlands defensive job a whole lot eaier by not spreading the play, speeding up the pace of the game and having a front man in Dzeko who didnt do nearly enough up top.

That said Ya Ya, Nasri, Johnson and Aguero (when he came on) were all off colour.

A "typical City" throwback kick in the balls defeat, so ridiculous that we lost it was laughable, but we did. Maybe having the very sour taste still fresh in all our mouths will make playing so soon after not such a bad thing. We need a win on Tuesday terribly badly, and if we do so the garden will look a whole lot rosier again.

the "team chemistry" is almost too fine. we can play one-twos all fucking day long with no goddam end product. These guys are fine chemistry-wise...but no one had that clinical moment or sense of worth to put the ball into the back of the net or create a chance that couldn't be denied. We were scoring easy goals early and often at the start of the campaign, but now teams are putting in a real fuclin shift defensively and we aren't scoring the "average" chances which are the best chances most teams see in a match. Can't blame teams for getting behind the ball. It's their only hope. And we don't have answers to break them down. Space and someone willing to have a crack from outside the box would have been nicer to see today instead of the tippy tap bullshit. How many times did you watch today where you were yelling "fucking shooooooot!" must have been 8 or so for me at least.

cheers

I think that is the problem too, we have creative players but not the creative game in attack, in my opinion. No through balls whatsoever no good crosses... i don't know man i hope we'll overpass the problems and take the title

don't really agree that we don't have a plan B ... but what plan would really work when they have 10 players inside their own box for 75% of the game?

we started with dejong barry yaya nasri johnson and dzeko up top ... we ended up with yaya barry silva johnson aguero dzeko and richards on the right bombing forward.

Maybe it's just me but that seems like 2 different plans. Bob also did not wait to make the switch, taking off dejong at halftime and nasri not long after, and kolarov not long after that. I think Bobby did everything he could to change the game, but a mixture of some bad luck, some mediocre performance on our part and diabolical anti-football from sunderland meant that we could not score, whilst they did with the last (offsides) kick of the game.

You simply cannot start a full strength team and then start the same team against liverpool 2 days later, and even though our hands were tied we still tried our very best to shake things up ... personally, I would have pulled dzeko off instead of de jong when aguero came on. Dzeko needs to get his head straight. and with dejong hanging back, barry and yaya could have pushed up farther into midfield.

If our blip is dominating a game and somehow managing to lose it I take that, move on it was nutty weekend of results, beat the scousers with home games against all of the others, bring on the 2nd half and lets enjoy it, as we need to relax to win the league. no time for getting on the teams back, that is what ragnose is praying for.
