Seen some pictures he was an Aguero fan boy as a kid.

What can I say, he has good taste.

Maybe Sergio undertook his first task in his new non player role for City? (Wishful thinking)

Also Pep being a native Spanish speaker would be important to the young lad. I know Pep wants players to speak English in training but, being able to express himself to Pep and the other staff would be a big draw surely? I doubt klipperty or raggy Ralph speak Spanish nor Inzaghi come to that.

Who knows.
Just read his nickname is La Arana, the spider. And if you read La Arana backwards it spells Kolarov.
Interesting.

Rags having a meltdown, they never wanted him of course.

If we get Haaland too, we could have some fire power upfront if both match their expectations. Just imagine the media meltdown.

Then again, if it goes wrong, I'll never hear the end of 'finishing thread'

Rags want a 12m "survival" fee for Lingard as a condition for loaning him to barcodes.
You couldn't make it up!

But the rags did.

For clarity, is that survival fee attached to Newcastle, or are the rags preplanning their own implosion in the 2nd half of the season?

He’s on a free in the summer so they’re trying their best to get something for him.

They will be lucky to get him off the wage bill. He must be on at least £120k a week. The next four months will save somewhere in the region of £2m

Yeah - Martial, Lingard, VDB all looking to move on loan. Pogba likely gone at the end of the season. I doubt Ronaldo will stick around for another season. They’re going to be saving a lot in wages.

Just Pogba and Ronaldo gone would save them over £1m a week!!!

Going back to Alvarez, I keep on seeing "reports" that the rags, Real and Juventus "opted" against signing him.

Sounds bitter. Very much.

I would be very surprised the rags are actually on for anyone whilst they have temporary manager, I don't believe for one minute that raggy Ralph will remain at the club when new manager takes over. No decent manager will go their have that prick sticking his nose in surely?

That's why currently it's a win win situation, as I say, no decent manager will go whilst he is there.

They are probably one decent manager away from never being able to attract anyone of note ever again imo

Good vid. Reckon hes the sole striker we are getting?

Mad that jesus is the only one to come from one of those leagues and pretty much go straight in our team.

Firstly it's probably part of the deal financially but secondly taking a young lad half way across the world from Argentina summer to Manchester winter, no family etc. Then throwing him into the squad/team, knocking somebody else out? No, it probably wouldn't end well

Even the most experienced of players from this country or Europe need a good year under Pep, let alone a pre season.

I hear you but I've never bought in to this. Think it you're gonna move you're gonna move, he can have a pre season in summer when he's already settled and expectations this season can be low (start with cup games /sub when 2-3 goals up)

Aguero is the obvious comparison and he came mid season firing, although not directly from Argentina.. Jesus probably looked his best for us when he first arrived mid season.

From a personal perspective, if I was offered a lucrative winter job in Canada Durning a warm season at home I'd jump at it, why wait?
