and let's not forget that Joe Hart would have a lot less to deal with considering the team he plays for!!!! Would love to se a mistakes/save stat!

He had a save percentage of 70% last season. 4th highest in the league.

Before anyone accuses me of anything I'm just providing a stat, nothing else.

After around 6 minutes, Blackburn score. Similar situation, same keeper.

think that's actually an excellent comparison to what happened v chelsea ... Kolo left it for hart when he called it, and what could hart do with it?

I've always backed Hart to become good and didn't think we should replace him.

That said, this is just one mistake too many for me. I don't know what his problem is right now, but he needs to be out the team whilst he sorts himself out. His mistakes are really starting to badly impact our season now.

I always thought Panti looked a decent keeper anyway so I'd feel comfortable giving him a run in the side.

all the media think panti is in tomorrow night, and of course he should be. lets hope he has a good game, last thing we need is two keepers with low confidance.

Fucking hell, when the whipping boy stuff starts it really starts.

Blaming him for Kolo Toure pretending he was going to head the ball then ducking under it is really scraping the barrel!

Perhaps joe hasn't degraded just our excellent possession and defending has covered him for being the useless cunt he is. He was a good shot stopper but even now he fucks up easy saves as well as his constant stupid decisions that cost us points. Maybe he thinks he can be the hero sometimes and save the day, well he ruins our. Drop this cunt and be done with it.

comment was that it looked like an excellent comparison with what happened recently ... maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me there, but that is Joe Hart a full 35 yards out from goal, right? My point in comparing was that what is he going to do if he accomplished his goal of rushing out to get the ball, there he tried to chest it ... who knows what he would have done in the chelsea game.

Overall, Hart has been excellent for us over the past couple seasons. But I don't like how frequent the mistakes have become. He's got the most mistakes leading to goals ffs ... more than fucking Al Habsi, who is a disaster. Hart needs to ge his head right and go back to being a top keeper. He can get there, and it's going to take him sitting for awhile, in my opinion.

Don't worry Ted, it'll be good for him. And you don't need to continue with all the hyperbole towards people who think hart should sit, we're not enemies, we all want Hart to be great again. He isn't right now, something needs to change.

Typical Toure thinking "I'm gonna pretend to head the ball and then run under it instead. Sure, it'll give the player chasing me the ball but he'll be so perplexed and think I'm an attacker, cuz a defender would never do that, so he'll run to his own end and score and own goal".

He's stopped that shit in Liverpool nowadays though. I've heard. But it explains why Mancini didn't trust him.
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

Explain to me how he made the PL team of the year at Birmingham?

Explain to me how he had the highest save percentage of any keeper in the PL in 2011/12?

I'm not saying he shouldn't be dropped but for fucks sake can people please stop exaggerating and abusing him.

I come on here rather than Bluemoon because I'm looking for sensible debate, is that too much to ask for?

I think Hart should be rested for a few games, enough is enough.

But Kolo Toure was diabolical in that instance & looked so indecisive, I don't blame JH for coming out at all, then to compound it, he threw him a dummy.

Hart has been shit this season. But that shouldn't detract from the shit around him. Not one defender has been worth 5 out of 10 on average imo, & Hart has been no worse than them, but his mistakes are more costly because of his position.

If only Mancini was in charge now and this had happened, (and if he had a substitution left) I totally see him subbing Hart for Panti for the min or two of extra time that remained and then be singing and dancing as Mourinho did, only his face expressions would have been of anger not joy ... and then the post-match presser, "finished, eez normaal ..."

I agree with you, the defenders have not been up to snuff. that does not excuse Hart from making mistakes and not saving efforts that should be saved in the slightest, and he needs a rest.

Our defense could use a shake up too, and that's a different topic.

1. By being an outstanding shot stopper (he truly was).
2. By being sat behind a great defence resultant in him dealing with a lot of half chances.
3. Yes, he should be dropped (should have been dropped months ago really and it was only Mancini leaving that stopped him from being replaced) / the stats provided by other posters are fact and not exageration / he's a nice bloke but he deserves abuse on the subject of his goal keeping because it's so bad - I don't think any of the abuse has been personal towards him and I'm constantly complimenting him on his golden locks myself (which are outstanding).
4. You'll get sensible debate if you put a sensible point but your love for Joe exceeds any evidence in your eyes - in truth 99.999% of us were ourselves huge fans of Joe's and it's been a long slow and painful recognition of just how shite he's become that has led us, the previously loyal and supportive fans, to this common opinion). It's also the case that having reluctantly accepted that Joe has long since become a pitiful liability there's an element of frustration with those few who are so in love with him that they would rather see us demoted than accept fact . . . and if you think bluemoan's better then hey feel free!
5. He had a couple of good seasons (1 with Brum & 1 with us) and I must agree that his hair is beautiful but please accept that what happended 2 seasons ago and the current state of his folicles doesn't make him gods gift to football (true!).
If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.

spot on. and this is what irritates me about joe's fan club...they grudgingly admit he's made a few mistakes this season, but somehow forget how shit he was for nearly all of last.

"Useless cunt", "D'oh", "pitiful liability" constant childish references to his hair, accusing posters of man love for daring to defend him, accusing him of not only dropping points ( when others have been equally if not more culpable )for us but also trophies.

This is debate? Like I said if I want that kind of debate I can find it on Bluemoon with the rest of the kids.

I provided some of them stats btw.

I have also previously sayed that his form has dropped yet you constantly conveniently ignore this fact.

I have also stated I'll trust in Pellegrini, his ex-goalkeeper and his goalkeeping coach to make the call on whether he should be dropped or not but you ignore that too and come out with your usual childish nonsense.

I have also criticised him when I felt it was warranted, another fact you conveniently ignore.

He had three excellent seasons btw and the stats are there to back that up.

Forgot to mention, you're all clambering for Pants to start yet when Joe was allegedly shite last season Mancini didn't trust enough in Pants to drop Hart, this is someone that sees both everyday in training. I don't know about you but that doesn't fill me with confidence that Pants will fare any better than Hart.
