No one has missed more Champions League penalties than Aguero in the last decade.

For such a world class striker, that's embarrassing if true.

One of the decade’s very best strikers, but an average penalty taker. I never have the feeling of confidence I had with Yaya.

Not a fan this season, not a patch on the walker of last season. I would put Danilo ahead of him but he wasn't even in the squad last night.

Pep messed up with his line up last night and his in game management was appalling. He is the best manager out there but he isn't above criticism.

Yet if Aguero scores we likely win it and Pep is hailed as a genius for not taking risks and coming away with the lead and an away goal, fine lines.

We didn't win and more crucially we didn't score and when you don't score in the 1st leg you are up against it- as WW says , hes not beyond criticism and deserves all the shite he is getting today.

What irks me is some fans still defend him when he does fuck up !

Who's defending him? I'm just pointing out there's fine lines between success and failure at this level.

0-0 would have been glass half full tbf, however I back us v Spurs, but lets see its HT. The train back from Euston Rags-ville zone. Peps dealing with the quad people need to bear that in mind, we must be fooked with the games. As for Delph, feck me seeing that back it is school boy again with him!

Marseille style end of the ground should be our South stand mission. Add some cladding job done, funny how a modern stadium like our looks old v Spurs +acoustics are spot on. Not the shitty cladding.

Your understanding of the realities of the game continues to astonish me. Son's finish was text book, a close-range, hard shot under the keeper, Eddy never had a chance.

So hostile. Ederson shouldve saved it. Right at him and not too close. He was caught off guard and thought Son would bend it and go high

What about fine lines if we smash Spurs 4 or 5 nil at the Etihad next week ? All the whinging cunts are going to look a bit silly aren't they ? Aguero,s missed penalty was more crucial last night than Peps team selection , 1-1 would have been fantastic and all the whinging cunts would have to whinge about something else . Pivotal PL weekend ahead pretty sure Pep had one eye on that and has fresh world class players to select , imagine being in the position of Spurs losing there main man Harry Kane for the season with so much at stake ? Just my opinion btw

All this whatifery bollocks...the fact is, Aguero missed the fucking penalty and Delph once again (Thats 5 out of 6 matches we have lost with him starting in the first 11.....true fuckign story ) fucked up left and right and only a manager with brain fart would have put him in the starting line up.

Lots of us SLAGGED off the team before we kicked off as it was a shite fuckign team he put out.....so fuck the whatiffery bollocks..we were proven right....we were fuckign shit.

Ed is not to blame for Son's goal.
Son was very close to Ed, hit it hard, low and very close to Ed's body (so he could not dive).
Talk to any forward's coach, that is exactly how you should hit a shot to give a goalie the least possible chance of saving the shot.
Son did everything right, Ed did nothing wrong.

Ed injured his hip because fuckign Delph gave the ball away which in turn forced Ed to collide with one of their players and make the save.

Fucking Delph cost us yesterdays game...hes fuckign shit and I have no idea why he keeps on playing for us.

He did switch off when he thought Son ran the ball out of play.. Then put a half-hearted effort into closing down the shot. I think he could have done more, so will he. Mendy and Zinch can't find fitness quick enough for me. Wouldn't be arsed if Delph and Mahrez didn't start another game this season.

I thought Ed jumped into Otamendi when reaching the ball, then landed heavily on his hip?

You and me both!! The sooner we can get back to winning ways the sooner I can stop worrying about football and my blood pressure!

You're right about Delph on every count, but I do still like the Yarkshire sicknote.

Disclaimer: this is not a defence of Pep's selection, just offering some thoughts on why he went with Mahrez over Sane.

Perhaps he looked at what happened in our last two quarter finals and decided the best approach was caution, particularly after last season with us being more or less dead and buried after the first leg.

This approach worked at Anfield earlier in the season so Pep trusts that we can do the same at Spurs.

Mahrez, despite his shortcomings offers more control, retains possession better than Sane, it also seems Pep still doesn't trust Sane in the big games and I would suggest that's down to a lack of focus, not workshy just head in the clouds sometimes that can leave us exposed.

I fully expect Sane to start the home leg as we throw caution to the wind and go balls out attack against them.

The problem is that we can't really throw caution in the wind since one goal for them has such a huge impact.

I still believe we can Noolie, we're more than capable of putting 3/4 past this Spurs side at home, as we showed last season.
