Liverpool are the luckiest team in the Premier league, they're good but we are so much better.

One possible reason that the replays wouldn't be shown is because they would show that the decisions on field were wrong. I suspect you knew that though.

Wasn't a foul. Simple as that

2-3 min max before their goal.
I was expecting the ball to go out for the VAR to check it, but there was a long play, the ball went then out for a throw it, they showed Gabby with a close up, no replay, and then Jota scored.

I remember because I was getting annoyed the ball wasn't going out for them to check it on VAR.
Still no replay until this hour.

Again, must be a coincidence.

The more I think of it, the more bizarre it is.

I'd actually forgotten about Foden's disallowed goal and the "foul" before it. Maybe it was a foul, maybe it wasn't a penalty on Jesus. The point is, neither was shown or talked about again. Like it never happened.

There has to be footage of the incidents somewhere, even if Sky and the BBC can't find it?

cheers, found it. Looking at both replays I can safely say that overall they were extremely lucky to get away with them both.

Agree with all on this page, sky didn't show big replays.
Also, haven't seen it mentioned but both fabinho and Thiago should have been seen off for 2 yellows. Again, not mentioned. Blatant yellows!

2-2 was fair on the basis of the play, but if the decisions didn't all go against us the play would have been different

Wow.

I suppose we have our answer now as to why they didn't show either incident again and why the pundits never talked about it. It was the answer I expected, but what amazes me is how these things are made disappear. All of the amazing technology they have for replays, digital goal line technology etc... this is what it is supposed to be for. So it can be chopped right down and discussed openly so that the viewer has all of the information to hand.

They clearly don't want the viewer to have all of the information, because then it wouldn't look like it was a close game. It would look look like we were cheated out of it on almost every major decision. Actually, scratch that - almost all the smaller ones too, from free kicks to throw ins and corners. Incredible stuff.

All anyone will remember is the 2-2, so I suppose it's job done.

If that was against us, honestly I would be calling for a foul.
But the other one on Jesus is a penalty.

At the end of the day somebody should've been sent off and somebody else booked, Foden's goal was blown up long before he kicked the ball and Sterling WAS offside.

It was our finishing or final ball that let us down yet again I'm afraid.

Spot on - we wouldn’t have to look for fucking excuses if we had just taken one of the many many goal scoring chances we had yesterday -Jesus is just as guilty as Sterling - both need numerous chances to score one goal and neither is a constant big game match winner , if ever .

That’s why both players are not (shouldn’t be ) shoe-ins for the first team (why pep played Sterling at all yesterday is beyond me )

Can I just add - Didi Hamman is a bindippong bias twat with his comments. Joke of a pundit .

Sadly, Sterling is a big game bottler.

Playing him cost us a European Cup.

But I still think we were robbed yesterday.

We certainly were robbed, of that there is no doubt.

Whenever someone points out that we were robbed, it's not long before someone else jumps in and says "if we'd scored more goals, we'd have won...." "We shouldn't be using this an excuse" etc..

We'd have scored more goals if the officials did their jobs properly.

Anyway, the point is we suffered because of both issues - finishing and officiating. They're not mutually exclusive.

"Thiago had a very influential game for Liverpool in the middle of the pitch, completing 100% of his dribbles, carrying the ball forward the most and also carrying the ball into the opposition’s final third three times, the most out of anyone in a Reds shirt (FBRef), so it would have been a huge blow to lose him during the game yesterday, as well as for the next match through what would’ve been a suspension".

We did suffer because of both issues and no one is denying it but missing numerous goal scoring chances had sweet fuckall to do with the officials - that was just down to our players fucking up those chances.

I hope to fuck this doesn’t come back to haunt us - 4 points ahead and we would most probably win the prem yesterday .

Just because we couldn't take our chances in the first half doesn't mean we should not discuss the impact of the officials.

Now just imagine if we could convert a much higher % of our chances AND we received fair officiating. The league would have been wrapped up weeks ago.
