Even last night he could have said, “first 45 the fans were a bit quiet, but they were magnificent second half”. It stops the media just leading with the “Pep digs out City fans again” nonsense.

I’ve had non stop shit from my rag loving mates thanks to our manager and some fans think Pep had the right to slag the fans off ?
When he eventually retires I guarantee he will have something negative to say in his book about us fans being the worst of all the clubs he’s managed ( and there will still be fans on here backing him on that issue !!)

I don't know why you would get or take shitfrom fans of the munes. Saturday was rhe quietest i have ever heard inside the swamp before they equalised. Did not hear one song from them up to that point. Back on point, he cannot help himself with the fans can he. Why the fuck he continues to have a pop at the fans is beyond me. Perhaps if you tried getting the team fired up it may encourage the fans a bit more mate eh?

The atmosphere at the start of the season was fantastic. Bournemouth 1st game was like a last game PL win or against dippers or rags.
Last night it was dead quiet.- away from home he's right, it's great.
Tell your rag mates that Fergie did the same with their fans, Klopp did it to theirs a few years ago. I bet the atmosphere is better Sunday.

To put this to bed , he should keep his negative comments about the fans to himself, as it does us no favors at all.

Klopp and Fergie may have done it once, but not as much as Pep and not while they knew it would be used as a stick to beat us.
If we’re one shot on goal and two nil down at halftime I guarantee the atmosphere will be just the same. The players and tactics need to lift the fans.

Still buzzing with how we turned that around last night.
Let's hope the rallying call works and we start one of our regular unbeaten 12 or 15 game runs, starting on Sunday.
I'm starting to get excited again anyway after a flat couple of weeks!

100pc mate.
I've no doubt in my mind they will. Bear in mind the rags will get absolutely everything handed to them from here on in, starting with Arsenal on Sunday. I actually hope they beat Arsenal becasue that will start Arsenal's slide and even with the officials behind them, the rags won't compete from here to the end of the season. Not a fucking hope.

I wouldn't be tioo sure about the red shite. They are undoubtedly shit but as red scouse have fallen away the powers that be will replace them with Ten Bob's rags. As we saw last week, they will be given every encouragement and assistance. Fuck all anyone can do if we find our form though so let's hope last night is the beginning of that

It’s the same Arsenal that were in the top 4 all last season and then bottled it (+Jesus and Zinch). I’d like to hope they’ll fold as the past has shown. There’s still a very long way and the media are getting giddy yet again.

Bunch of sensitive queens. Pep was right about the fans based on last night, wrong to feed it to media. I don't believe he intended to dig out the fans, more like a rallying cry. He should know better the media will always spin it around.
Give up on Ederson debate, every time, replace replace replace him, even some suggested replace him with Steffen at some point, well look where he is now. You have to understand he will make mistakes from the way we play. The constant changes at the back doesn't help communications.

…are you guys losing your heads. We’ve won four out of the last 5 PL’s. What he’s saying is the fans, players and himself have got complacent and there’s no fire in our bellies. He is right, we, and I include myself in this, are passionate when we criticise, just take a look at the HT comments on this thread. The most important comment he made was that it was his job to re-ignite the fire within the players and I guess the fans play a part in that too.
I think the team need to understand that for Haaland to score he needs service, he made several ignored good runs last night. When we play with fire, pace and passion as we did second half last night and stretched their defence we will beat any team on the planet, if we play half arsed like we have in the last few games, particularly against Soton where our shortcomings were cruelly exposed by a struggling team, then we will not. The distinction could not be clearer.

Agree with all of this.
Eddie is the bollocks. No other goalkeeper anywhere allows us to play the way we do like him. I wish he was a better shot stopper but for one on ones and his ability to pass the ball (at pace, accurately) there isn't another goalkeeper I'd have.

Our problem with haaland is nobody other than Kevin looking to be the creator from deep. In the derby first half haaland made about 5 or 6 great runs when the ball was in midfield but nobody seems to have the thought to play it through. You can see him get visibly frustrated and I'm sat there equally annoyed that the ball just goes sideways to keep possession.
Cancelo and Kev are the only ones who seem to have a deep through ball in the locker. Others need to wake up and realise that while retaining possession is key, sometimes that direct defence splitting pass needs playing.

Absolutely correct, I would add that Gundog, Foden and Bernie have that pass in them too

I think it was his best performance in a City shirt
