it surely wouldnt have hurt today...Micah's done well so far this season i think, but today was just wrong. I think everyone's discussed everything there was about his shit performance today. Zabs or Ned for me would be fine...i couldn't care less which but give someone a runout and let's see what they are capable of.

Ned wasn't on the bench. We had 2 left backs: Garrido and Sylvinho, and a right back: Zabaleta.

I think it's fair to say that Ned would have been at least on the bench if he'd been fit.

Unfortunately, Ned is traditionally injured, which is the reason I've given on here for us keeping Dunne for a while longer, even though I don't personally rate him very highly. We have 2 injured CB replacements at the moment, potentially a bigger worry than fullback, so Micah ends up CB if either get a knock. How confident would we be then?

Dunne would have been man of the match today. Today was made for him. I wasn't hugely enthused by the Lescott purchase but he's new to the team and hopefully it works out.

Vermaelen looks like the guy we should have bought. You'd think Kompany might have had a word.

What's all this about cheerleaders? Is that the terminology used now for people who get behind and encourage their own players?

I thought Corluka, by and large, was a very good player for us. He had his weaknesses like anyone else but he put in plenty of impressive performances. His form dipped from the new Year onwards, as it did to most of the players. Anyway, he doesn't play for us anymore. As for Richards, he had a poor game today, he was exceptional last week- I didn't see anything from you funnily enough last week. As soon as he plays badly you're out of the traps at greyhound speed.

As for who's better, they're vastly different players but I'd say Charlie is edging it at the moment- I believe in Micah though and hope that he puts today's performance aside and plays well for the rest of the season.

cheerleaders is a generally accepted term for people who both overhype somebody and being 'three-monkeys-like' in failing to admit to their failings;

I disagree with you about Corluka, and at the time I made this thread I knew he didn't play for us anymore

I don't believe I made ANY posts here after last week's game

I've gone for the Granny cos she probably has better concentration levels than Micah, and Corluka is the slowest full back in the world.

We debated this at length and it's coming home to roost that we should either have signed a new right back or played Zabba.

Micah was too busy arguing with Toure for their fisr before he jogged over with a half-hearted and belated attempt to stop the cross. For the last one it's "Oh who's that bloke who sneaked in behind me?".

Dozy.
