Can all those posters who are complaining about Hughes defending the indefensible please just highlight where exactly he does that because I can't find it. He states mistakes were made but we are not going to pick out individuals because that what pundits do.
He is also pointing out that if pundits were any good they would probably be managing rather than talking.

Hughes, Instead of barrating people who will pounce on any mistakes our team makes (which is allways going to happen) concentrate on sorting out the crap of a defence we have (or havent got)...

If hughes thinks we did ok on the basis of what was served up saturday, he's worse than i already fear he is. the defence is a joke. is, not has been, it is crap.

F*ck me ! With friends like these who needs enemies.

Alan Hanson is a c*ck of the highest order who likes to pretend he is the fount of all knowledge whilst never actually being prepared to put his money where his mouth is and go into management.

Never have I seen such a character assassination of one player. F*ck me every time a team concede a goal you can make some case for someonebeing at fault somewhere.

From what I could see for the second goal Bridge was caught out of position because Barry lost the ball when it looked like we were on a break away.

9 times out of 10 the mistake for the third wouldn't have led to a goal and therefore wouldn't be highlighted.

Yes, Bridge had a bad game, it happens, but the hysteria and OTT reactions to our so called 'crap' defence are frankly laughable. There are only 3 teams with a better goals against column than us in the Premier League !! If that's crap then heaven help the rest of the premier league teams!

Its about time some of our fans actually started to stick up for the club against the snipers and I'm pleased that Hughes has done just that.

Bang on. Barry lost the ball with a heavy touch, won it back and then lost it again, Bridge was entitled to make a run to create an option.

I think he is a first class dickhead.

What exactly was his problem ?, his problem was that he cant handle the truth, I think this City job has gone to his head, refusing to speak to the media criticizing respected TV pundits.

He reminds me of baconface.

Or maybe he's doing a Mourinho and trying to focus the media on him rather than his players? If my team was playing shite and there were a few signs of players being singled out on TV that's what I'd do.

Yes Hughes removed the spotlight on our somewhat less than steller defending... by talking about the pundits criticism of our less than steller defending and in the process highlighting it all over again.

The trick ala taggert is to create a diversion such as 'the ref is a fat tub of lard' and keep that going for a week or so thereby removing the spotlight from the fact his team were gash in the match.

Now I know a lot of you think it is well played Hughes and isn't it great that the club is fighting back yada, yada but seriously media management at the club is still a spotty pubescent when it comes to this sort of thing

I wish he would and win something but we all know even Hughes supporters thats not going to happen, all m.o.t.d. did was emphasize what Hughes could not see.
When you have WON something you have the right to defend your players Hughes instead should be trying to put his defence right Hughes said what he said because he can not see past his nose, some managers get the best out of mediocrity Hughes his capable of getting mediocrity out of good players, he just said on tv no big name players coming in January looking between the lines he may have been told they don't trust him with money.

RIG - What you've just said and most of what you do say is bull really, any manager has the RIGHT to defend his players if its required.

Dameerto - To wait Long - it was hardly headline news all arround the papers and everyone jumping on the band waggon was it?

As I've already said, and maybe you didnt bother to read:

unfortunatly if hughes had kept stum on this one no one would have remembered anything about it - i didnt notice any big threads about match of the day...

But now its headline news again - putting it back in the limelight which has completly the oposite affect of removing player pressure.

I do think that our defense isnt 100% down to the players not being good enough but it does look like the balance of the back 4 is all to cock! Perhaps Toure and Lescott will never form a good partnership because theyre too similar?

If it was being bounded arround all over the place & not warrented at all then I'd have agreed with Hughs coming out (about this!), but this just had the opposite affect - BAD PR!

What a waste of thread space your comments on this forum are....

NOT ANTI-HUGHES post at all, but with you being the main blueprint for building an idiot, I thought I would explain that it is a ANTI-SHIT DEFENDING post instead.

Try listening to your hero on Sky occasionally when your not tossing off over pictures of him in his suit waving his arms around, and you will hear him say that he won't be bringing any big name signings or spending much in January, put 2 and 2 together and get 4 for once you pillock, the owner is loaded, yet no money available can only mean one thing.....they don't trust him to spend it wisely enough after seeing what £200m has bought them (a side who panic when under the cosh and scrape draws against the top class opposition of Burnley, Fulham, Wigan and Birmingham).

And for someone to liken Hughes to Mourinho, well even you must see that is a little stupid a comparison to make, it's like comparing Harrods to Poundland, the only comparrison that Hughes has with Mourinho, is they both wear suits and stand on the side of a pitch come matchday......from there on one of them is lost without a clue, the other is Mourinho.

Right so you little annoying tool. At least we know where you got your issues from.... tell dad I said hi.

And stop using the Blueprint for an idiot joke, its not funny. In fact the only funny thing about you is your constant preaching that hughes is gone any day now when everyone knows he's going nowhere from now.

Who do you actually think you're fooling with your constant rants? Do you think you are converting people? Or, do you ever take into account the numerous members that regularly tell you you're a negative whining little cunt?

Because if a LOT of people tell you you are a negative whining little cunt, then chances are you ARE a negative whining little cunt.

All of your posts point in the same direction and that's why I point it out - to show you how fucking repetitive you are to the normal people. You don't have a fucking breeze about anything you claim... not a fucking clue.

By all means fire away with you're shit about the manager and how there is nothing positive to say about this beautiful club, but the only cunt interested in it is probably sitting beside you fucking drooling onto his bib....

The rest of us know you're not worthy of calling yourself a city supporter.

Dubbers forget it mate. I only glance through his posts and the fact that you bite everytime denigrates me reading your stuff too.

Try commenting when he posts well. Ignore the crap. WUM's only prosper when they get a response.
Attack the argument of the person, not the person of the argument- except Carl.
