Was really looking forward to seeing Johno having a go at cementing a place in the side, keep your head up Johno and come back stronger, you can still go on to be a world-class player.

All the fans are behind you mate.

Gutted for the lad and hope he recovers as soon as possible but i've grown used to the team being without him over the last couple of years so it's not really a miss at all for the playing squad. I doubt this will be his last long-term injury and i fear we will never see the best of such a good young talent.

Sorry but I think your comments are well out of order. I am absolutely gutted for the lad. He had worked really hard to get back to fitness and literally when I saw him on Monday with NMT we both thought how good and trim he was looking. The injury happened on tuesday in training and was just one of those things.

When it happened he was in agony and I am sure everyone feared the worst. It was deemed best for me not to post until more was known about the extent of the injury. It was hoped it might have been like Micah's against Chelsea but sadly its a bad one and I feel sure he won't play again this season but will just hope and pray he will be back for next season.

Agreed, it was way out of order and just more speculative rubbish. If you don't know the ins and outs don't pretend to.

Best wishes Johnno, here's hoping you can come back sooner than later.

Maybe Dickdastardly meant to say that the less you look after your body, the more likely you are to suffer injuries. I sympathise with that particular view. Especially alcohol. It will affect the softness of bones, muscles and tissues. It certainly affects the "abdomen".

maybe if he concentrated on his game rather than being out on the lash and dont pretend for one min that he doesnt do that, then i would have sympathy for him, when we have a fully focused and fit johnno then hes a great asset to our team, but even lads on here have seen him pissed up in clubs!! this latest injury maybe because hes done it in training but that doesnt excuse him being a boozer and gambler!!
i really hope he gets back to his performances of a couple of seasons ago and with that i wish him all the best!!

Looks like a knee injury picked up in training. Out for the rest of the season. It just gets worse for him. Poor kid.

While i dont agree with dick, I defo dont think johno will be back this season and would be very surprised if he has a future at the club because to me he lacks the desire to be the best he can be and to fight for a place in the squad, if he had any respect for the fans he wudn of been out on the lash while he was out injured all the time. Im not saying he should be in bed at ten o clock but the lad was not taking care of himself.

If this was 5 years ago he would no doubt be released, hes saving grace at the moment is that we can afford to pay his hilarious 50K a week for a year while injured,, especially considering the number of games hes played since he signed the new deal.

absolutely gutted for the bloke. comparisons to bell werent made without reason, obviously he has a long way to go but who knows.

he now has to be positive, he will get the best treatments available. 10/15 years ago an injury like this could definately of ended his career but there are specialists to get these things sorted out.

he could do with someone like bojinov getting in touch and telling him to stay positive and keep his chin up.

good luck to the lad, i truly hope we havent seen the last of him wearing the blue shirt.

I personally do not believe ALL the stories about his indiscretions. On BMoon some bozo posted yesterday that he was in a club on Tuesday drinking the night away etc and I asked him why he lied. His response was " just messing about pal as every thread about MJ has stuff like this in it - I assumed no-one would take it seriously?"

I can only go from what I have seen and that was MJ working his backside off to get fit and also knowing that for a long time he was doing tons of extra work inside in the gym before he could start training outside.

I dont think the treatments are the thing while they are very important it is down to desire and extent of the injury, the game is losing man young players still these days due to what look like fixable injuries

Well that just sums up Bluemong Doug. That's the way that site operates - WUMs replying to WUMs replying to ITKs.... its a complete joke and I'd imagine those two retards that used to infect this site are over there as we speak....

Its terrible news but the one thing Johno has is time and if Bojinov could do it then so can Johno.

All the best lad.

Well said Doug, I am really glad you have posted that, like you I am heartily sick of morons posting crap. You must ask what their motive is, do they want to destabalise our club, are they rags or just chidren or both? Many of us older fans have seen many good young players hounded out by idiots only to go on and win things elsewhere, remember Ian Bowyer!
Good luck to Johnno, hope he gets back soon.

Where is your evidence to support your accusation. If you have none, why would you want to be part of a malicious campaign against one of our bright young talents? Its less than 2 years ago that people were all over stephen Ireland, now he has proved them wrong, give johnno a break and wish him well.

It's a well known fact that he has been struggling somewhat with his alcohol usage especially in the past. Should they just try to wipe it under the carpet until it's too late? just try and cover it all up until they are in Gasgoigne state, just so that no one is bad mouthing anyone. And are you surprised? Footballers drinking heavily shocker.

Actually it's supposed to be gambling that is his problem mate, not drinking. Very little evidence to support alcohol abuse theories just gambling addiction. So no need to give any backing to dastardley who is really living up to his name today.

like i said i would love the guy to be at his best and a first team regular, i really feel for the lad injury wise, but you also have to take into account his boozing and gambling, there are lads on here who has actually witnessed johnno bladdered!!
i really do hope he puts evrything behind him knuckles down and becomes a city great, good luck to him

everything about johno in recent months has been very positive and he seems to have turned the corner, what a shame for the lad, I was really looking forward to seeing him hit top gear in the latter part of this season. I bet he is devastated by this news.

Good luck Johno, work hard and prove all the doubters wrong.

Both mate. Drink and gambling. I've heard it from several different sources I have no reason not to believe. How is he doing right now with his problems? I don't know but considering he got into bit of argy bargy in night club, it doesn't look good in that department.

I agree with Miyagi with that while alcohol may not be THE reason for his injuries, heavy alcohol consumption does make you more injury prone for sure. And I repeat what I said ages ago, I've never heard of abdominal injury that would keep you out for a year. There's more to it than that, I'm 100% certain of it.

I had been quietly hopeful that he'd get picked for the Bolton game and start working his way back into the team.

Gutted for the lad.
