1. He did it on purpose for some reason that is hard to explain
2. He did it by accident which means his head is so fucked up by the shooting he's not aware of what he is doing. If this is the case it might be a while before he finds form playing footy if his head is that messed up.

I doubt there was any logic involved at all - expect he put an old top on without thinking. Doubt Umbro would want to sue him for breach of contract under the present circumstances. It's only a big deal if we react like babies and don't laugh it off.

I don't think any of us know what has gone through his mind. What I dare say is that I doubt very much whether it is a barbed statement at our club. Perhaps he feels after his horrific experience that some bridge building with people from his past could be nesseccary or that he didn't think City fans would be so damning.

I don't like the fact that he wore another clubs colours while with us but I also am willing to give the guy a break after what he's been through. If it was a silly mistake then fine but there really is no need for the level of outrage here in my humble opinion. We don't go over reacting to adversity.

I do think that it's all a little bizzare and doesn't shed the player or us in a good light but I must confess that if I was good enough to play pro footie for say Arsenal, I would still carry my love for City and wouldn't ave any qualms about wearing a City shirt.

But people have been shot... How anyone can not view events in context is absolutely beyond me. As pointed out already, he won't have been planning to go to Togo, he has got there and put on an old shirt that he left there last time. It's trivia.
