Daily Mail reporting it now

Apparently there is a Mancini press conference at 11am so perhaps we can have some clarification

I'm starting to feel the old adage "be careful what you wish for" is starting to come true
under mancini we've lost robinho, bellers has got pissed off, the football has taken a massive, massive step backwards, shay's gone shit, fan favourites like SWP and Ireland are warming the bench whilst we play 3 defensive midfielders against the likes of stoke at home.

OH dear oh dear.

You know what? Im sick of modern football, I remember when I use to go to Maine Road, first game of the season, and see a few new names on the teamsheet, not really knowing who they were, having an open mind, watching them play and think, mmmmm pretty decent, should do well.

Now we know what is going on in training, behind the scenes, deep within players heads, there private lives.

I REALLY DONT GIVE A FUCK I JUST WANT TO SEE GOOD STANDARD ENTERTAINING FOOTBALL ON A SATURDAY OR SUNDAY AT 3PM PLAYED IN "DIVISION 1" THE TOP TIER.

the reason im thinking its true is because havent we asked the sun to apologise for making up shit about us in the past or we would take it to court? surely they'd know better by now.

have a bad feeling there is truth in this one. as already said, bellamy will know his own knee better than anyone.

Well the board put Mancini massively under pressure with Robinho due back for next season - they sort of backed him and they didnt - not willing to get rid of Robinho "just in case".

I believe that move alone says more about the manager and the board and the omens are very very bad for the manager right now, even stalwarts on here, the most positive posters are asking serious questions.

I didnt believe there was a snowflake in hells chance that Mancini will be here next year anyway, but regardless of the provenance of this story as Wooders says, there is no smoke without fire - and somebody must have leaked the story if it happened in private

That said, apart from this Bellamy story all the things mentioned there are exactly what half of the people here have been crying out for. One of the things that HAS pissed me off about Mancini has been benching of Ireland and especially SWP.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I must admit...even my usually unwavering positivity is being questioned at the moment

Logically i'm thinking Bobby has only just arrived as manager and should be given time

In my head though i'm starting to think like the Hughes Out brigade previously...got a bad feeling in my gut that won't go away

I am sorry but who wanted Ireland and SWP benched in favour of playing 3 DMFs? I never read anyone say that.

But let me get this straight, we create a marketing campaign with a viral video centered around Bellamy for the Liverpool match.... and now he most likely won't even play?

What kind of fucking joke is this?

What the fuck is wrong with Mancini? I am really getting sick of this.

The only thing that made me laugh now was the "At least we got Vieira" comment... I guarantee you someone will make a Hitler video of that one now like MaineRoadMemories said hahaha.

I think that if anyone on here had the time and patience they could find lots of posts from the last twelve months that predicted that this kind of thing would get printed in the papers. Oh, and surprise surprise, there's another thread which says "players are unhappy with the manager's training methods".

Remind me, who are we playing this weekend?

Expect more about Mancini's job being on the line, certain players seeking a move away and so on.

If we are still there or thereabouts and pose a threat when we come to play the cousins we can expect the press to go into meltdown.

The fact is that we are grave danger of pissing in the soup of the established order and every dirty trick in the book will be used against us. The idea being to unsettle the manager and the players; plus getting the fans to argue with each other (that bit has worked a treat hasn't it).

Now, is there anything in this story? None of us know for certain, however, the target is well chosen. After all a story saying that, for example, Stevie Ireland had a screaming row with Mancini would lack credibility. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Bellers had a row with Mancini - he probably screams abuse at his own face in the bathroom mirror.

Who would be the source for this story? Mancini? Bellers? Or an unnamed "insider" who just happened to be passing Bobby's office at the time?

Before we take such reports seriously we should always ask the question "Who benefits?"
"You sir, will either be hung as a traitor or die of the pox"
"That sir, depends on whether I embrace your principles or your mistress"

I was talking to a bloke who has his son at the club, (and in an around the first team squad) and he was telling me in mid january that all was far from perfect within the camp and that Bobby Manc was already on borrowed time. Gone by the end of the season in fact. I thought it was odd and didn't really make any sense, but maybe he was right. It seems the cracks are starting to show. We'll see.

Big time!

The problem is though that the papers can only add fuel to a fire that's already burning... its all well and good saying results come first and I respect the fact that that is good enough for some, but I'd hazard a guess that the majority of attending fans want attacking football or at least balanced football. When this doesn't happen over a period of time, fans become dissillusioned and evertime a player is dropped it is scrutinised.

Along come the papers to say a fans favourite has been told to fuck off for 3 months (city career over - there you go harry!) and its all it takes for fans to become vocal. I don't know whether this is true, but I'd imagine SOMETHING happened.

Overall, it changes fuck all for sunday and anyone who believes that every other player in the squad gets upset over a one on one row is niaive IMO. If we lose this game it will be because of the way we are playing. It will be "true to form".

All this sets us up for is a chorus of boos if/when Liverpool beat us.

In relation to Bellamy, we all know he questions the manager on every aspect of the game and training because he said so with his own lips. He has also said many times he knows when he can and cannot train.

Mancini lost his cool with the players against Stoke on Tuesday. Petrov kicked off a bit with Mancini on the touchline as it took an age for him to come on (was going to be a double sub with Zabba), he even went to sit back down on the subs bench and when Barry scored he was told to come on again.

There is tension between the manager and players, this is visable on matchday's through their NVC. I imagine Mancini is reacting to this and trying to become a bit more authoritive and has seen Bellamy's questioning and refusal to train as someone trying to undermine him, whereas Bellamy is just been is over-committed self. A lot will get lost in translation between the manager and the players.

Lets hope this is just like the Richards/Hughes spat in training last year and it is just a case of heated discussions of two passionate men which is forgotten in the morning.

Errrrrr...... there were NUMEROUS threads moaning about Ireland's and SWP's form. Literally dozens. If you didn't notice that then you haven't been following this board closely enough. And in favour of 3 defensive midfielders??? Who else did these people think would come in? We have basically ONE central attacking midfielder, Ireland.

And who says Bellamy will not play? The S*n?? Would these be the same people who were reporting Bellamy walking out of the first training session under Mancini?? Story that was furiously denied by both parties. Oh yes, that's EXACTLY the same source. Sorry if I take it with a pinch of salt.
