When are we playing Spurs??
Have we played our game from the first half of the season against Neverton yet?
I am confused as to remaining fixtures!
From memory 24th March for Everton and Spurs TBA
king kev will hit the proverbial roof with you two!!!

I wouldnt discount Villa. They have the easiest run in.
Villa usually turn to shit in March, their squad just hasn't got the strength and depth.

I have a real bad feeling about the mackems tho.....
What always happens to us when the results go our way?
What always happens the game after we do something brilliant
a draw is the best I expect!

I only took a quick peek at the Table today - but, if we win our Matches, are we not fourth regardless of what Villa do?

If we win against Everton and Spuds we're at least one point a head of Villa.
CTID!!

And we have mostly home games, and some very winnable away (Sunderland, Burnley, W Ham). Villa look fragile to me and their cup exploits will surely lead to the usual slump.
Besides we have the chance to put both Villa and Spuds out of it at home.

The key games are Villa and Spuds at home. Win those two, and perform as we should in the others, ( I know we never do things as easily as that) and it will be difficult for the others to catch us. Scouse are running out of games rapidly. I think they are close to being out of the running now.

Hope the Dippers finish 7th.
Imagine the confusion at SKY centre and the favourite Fleet street watering holes:

LOL

Just looked at Villa's run in. The games are starting to pile up for them. They've got 5 games in 14 days this month and games at Hull and v Everton to re-arrange. We have more home games left than the rest which is a plus point. It's ours to lose. Just think of the mercenaries we'll sign if we do it. ;)

watched the game intently and Wigan were good value stopping scouce in their tracks at every opportunity. Bramble played a blinder in the first half with some key challenges that really pissed pool off.. you could see the Wigan goal coming from about 10 mins before it did. Rafa's big mistake was playing Torres, he was just not fit enough and was totally off the pace, got robbed almost everytime he got the ball, so bad that pool were effectively playing with 10.
Anyways scouce have put a big nail in their own coffin with that loss, but you have to assume they will do everything they can to get back in the race, would be no surprise if they suddenly went on a run.
So for us it is critical that we assume we have no real advantage and need to look to win each and every game now however desperate it gets on the pitch. it is usually the relegation battlers that start to cause upsets at this time of year.. Wigan's win puts Sunderland in more hot water, so expect a really fired up team on sunday to deal with.
I still think we should be looking up rather than down the table, as we should be intent on landing 3rd not scraping into 4th.
The current top 3 all have CL to add to the stress, and all three of them are vunerable because none of them are convincing at the moment.. if any of them get kicked out of the CL they will wobble. So City need to be in prime shape to take advantage of that. This team has no reason to think that previous City run-in performances have anything to do with them at all, whereas villa, spuds etc have pretty much the same personnel that have faded in previous seasons.
After whacking Chelsea in the nuts, we have no reason not to believe, but each and every game now will be intense, especially against the league strugglers, so Sunderland is the only thing we should be thinking of, if not it will all come crashing down before we even get started on the run-in!
That said, personally i feel very confident that we are in a good place mentallly as we have battled back to some kind of solidity since the Goodison mess.. we are in a prime position and it now looks like the loss of the FA cup commitment could play into our hands at the right time

I'd prefer to be playing Portsmouth and Burnley at home instead of Everton and Spurs - but you can't have everything.
We could definitely aim to take 4 points from those two Home matches, though. We lost to both of them last season.

http://www.premierleague.com/page/Leagu ... 06,00.htmlJust looking at table cannot believe arsenal could actually win the prem this year after there terrible start! Anyways back to City I think Villa are really gonna struggle to make 4th we are looking strong favourites surely joint points with spurs with a game in hand over them and 2 over the bin dippers.Scouse blue are definitely out the running now though they should be looking for a Europa spot more than anything. How the mighty have fallen eh? Love it though Gollum must be fuming they out the race.

Nearly time to start singin
"Who's ya famous big four now
Whooos ya famous big four now
who's ya famous
who's ya famous
whhoo ya famous big four now!!"
Villa still in the cup could prove a big distraction for them..
Before every game from now till the end of the season Mancini should tell the lads that champs league football is on the horizon and its up to them to put 110%

We are a different side at home though.Look at the states. We're also a hard team to beat home and away..

i hope to fucl peeps dont start singing that till it is actually secure..
nearly time might turn into nearly ran and we would end up with egg on our faces.
rather we held our nerve, stay stum and quietly take it from them with no fuss.
While taking 4th would be a definitive achievement for City, it isnt actually winning anything

Me too BBS.
I remember being at the derby in 93 and the rags had fucked up against Galatasaray after being 2-0 up and we were all singing
hooray, hooray for galatasaray,
2-0 up and fucked it up,
Galatasaray!
we went in 2-0 up at half time and lost 3-2 with the rags belting out a version of blue moon, you started singing too soon.....
I like to keep it quiet until its in the bag please.
