So Grob what you prefer to see is a manager rally the troops by saying they can't make the CL?

I would suggest that A: City Drew too many games, in general although under Hughes in particular

B: if you agree with A, then your argument regarding Mancini, is respectfully, flawed.

And what a disgusting specimen of a Blue would actually post something on a City forum!

Absolute Cunt, shouldn't even be associated with the club I know................wait, is Svengali a Blue or a Sven fan?

I like Mancini but can see where he has failed. Still I think unless Mourinho is available we should stick with him. I'd be very sorry to see him leave. Despite some wrong results it I think he would have done slightly better than Hughes did in the first half of the season even with the same set of players, that would have got us 4th. Give him a full season.

Mancini failed, sorry to say it but it's true.

He Gauranteed we would finish fourth,FAIL AGAIN.
Said we give our all against the Rags,FAIL AGAIN.
Lose our proud unbeaten record,FAIL AGAIN.
Said we would fight till the end,FAIL AGAIN.

Sorry guys but the facts are there,Hughes was sacked for nearly failing Mancini HAS failed.

Mancini isnt going anywhere get over it and move on.

Anyone who thinks that replacing a manager every 6 months is ever going to achieve anything is living in cloud-fukcing-cuckoo land and needs to go and study the game a little better.

EVERY manager needs time. So shut the fuck up with this 'sack the manager' shit every time we lose a game. Its pathetic.

We NEED stability if we're ever going to win anything!!

Just heard his interview on the Beeb (HERE) - is it me or is his English getting worse? Haha.. well he certainly seemed confident about being the manager next season. I see no reason to change personally - he was working with Sparkless' players, he surely needs to be given a fair crack at picking his own team.

tonight called for patience in our play...instead we got desperation from the first minute.mancini should have used his continental experience to draw spurs out and make sure we had enough energy to exploit them when the chance made itself available...instead we got hare em scare em from the get go and ended up bollocked when the last twenty minutes arrived and our tank was empty.totally outdone by "bagpuss" tactically tonight.seemed as though Mancini put all his eggs in one basket tonight when maybe this approach would of been better used against a down and out Arsenal side or Liverpool at home.also Richards or Onouha should have played to be honest, think they would have gave us more height defending/attacking corners and worried Bale more than Zabs.So Mancini got it totally wrong from where I was sitting, after thirty minutes I could'nt see us scoring as they were always well organised in the middle no matter what we did down flanks and by the sevenieth minute I knew we were out of gas,out of ideas and were there for the taking. For me Mancini...nice guy but more made for seria a than premiership

First choice, now that City have missed out on Champions League: if The Special One could be brought (bought?) in I'd say thank you Roberto, and goodbye.
Second choice, Mancini staying put.
3rd choice, Gus Hiddink.
4th choice, Roy Hodgson.
I hope the owners' patience extends to "success very soon" (for it will come) rather than "success immediately."

Tonight we did not play badly, but for Bobby to have convinced he was right to play the way he does, it needed to work, it hasn't, he has failed, he will go.

Couldn't agree more. Bobby's tactics (the negative football) were more designed not to lose the match rather than win it. This will only work if you've got a rock solid defence and we haven't. Kolo Toure gets beaten by swift, clever attackers far too often. Hence we got stuffed by a last minute goal three times in one season by the rags.
If you can keep your head when all around you are losing theirs, it's just possible that you haven't really grasped the gravity of the situation.

why do you and Grob need to bring Hughes into argument? He was sorry failure who took us 10th and he is gone now. But he is gone. He has nothing to do with our future. Get it?

I hope you don't go down the same path as Grob. Easily the biggest disappointment on this site in my time.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?
