Still now Pim has fucked off perhaps McDonald can come back into the picture, not sure why he wasn't there and we have a couple of young lads playing in Holland, one called Holland...yuk yuk, and the other is Thomas Oar. But we really need these lads to actually step up and take their place in the team.
no different than England then in that regard really. Germany's youth setup has really sent a shot across the bow to world football. the modern conventional wisdom of playing the tested, tried and true has gone out the winda. I hope more countries take those risks and ask their kids to step up to see who will answer the call.
Related: This has been a world cup where you can really see the cultural sensibilities and differences from country to country of the kinds of football teams want to play present themselves. How a team plays, and represents their country's psyche with their approach is a lot of fun, and frankly the US has zero culture about their mindset due to the fractured youth systems where you have to basically pay about 8K a year to play club footy. The US team had only, and i mean ONLY graft to rely on. Bradley's system was complete shit. The US needs a mentality, a player profile and a plan to get into the top 10 Elite teams in the world and we should be able to produce that talent if we focus.
