The quote was misconstrued due to him trying to translate literally from Spanish to English - it´s a common mistake to do with their subjunctive (won´t go into it ) He´s apparently clarified what he was trying to say this afternoon. He meant they would have still "tried" to win whatever the circumstances

He´s still a twunt of the first order though and should have been booked for the waving red card gesture

Difficult to call; that the quote was 'lost in translation' can be the last refuge of the coward at times. And if you look at his character as a player, he does tend to be cynical and snide.

So on reflection, yeah he is a bad nob.

True, but the exact wording of the original statement was unusual enough that "lost in translation" is a very real possibility. The new way makes more sense.

However, there are dirtier players out there in terms of rolling around and waving the invisible card. Nani springs to mind right away.

That someone is worse does not make it right, Wright.

Ho ho ho.

How good a player he is (extremely) is for me irrelevant: he is the sort of "man" I would never want at City. Winning is still a poor second to some things.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.
