Tevez - Official Club Statement

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Having dwelled upon it for the last few hours I am already over it, but my only worry is how it will reflect on the club.
Somehow I am not bothered with Tevez being ON the field, just how our players react. That part worries me. I KNOW how the
fans will react.

Roberto Mancini and all at the Club have shown, and will continue to show, sensitivity to Carlos' personal circumstances including the issue of his family being based overseas.  Indeed following his suspension as a result of the game against Bolton, Carlos requested, and was given, special dispensation by the Manager to take leave overseas.

What, again? We don't need this kind of high maintenance tomfoolery; it's gone on long enough and I for one am tired of it. Tevez isn't the only good striker on the planet, and his petulant behaviour has ensured he should never be spoken of in the same breath as true City greats and legends. He's a player who's done a good job for us for a year and a half, and that's all. We might do well to find someone as good as he is quickly, but I'd settle for a replacement who gets on with doing a good job and doesn't disrupt the entire club with his personal demands, sulks, petulance and self obsession.

Carlos Fucking Tevez, who has said nothing or done nothing in the past 48 hours. Just turned the entire club upside down.

I also thought Spain had got rid of the tax free status for new players.

But if he's missing his daughters, why has his agent asked City for an extra year on his contract? The two things don't add up at all. If Tevez wants to go back to Argentina, you can be bloody sure his agent doesn't want that.

What he wants and what his agent wants are two different things. It's no coincidence this has come up just as he has been home again.
Everytime he goes back he realises what he is missing and the homesick/ tired/ retirement stories come up

i'll say it again. Tevez is the best striker in the world. our best player and captain.

hows about this for an idea.....?
give him whatever he wants (except a transfer) and get it all swept under the carpet.
the last thing we need is more bad coverage in the press, and our most prolific player not giving his all in games.

city, get it sorted, he's worth it.

I reckon he got the yellow vs bolton on purpose so he would be suspended and could go home

Who knows... when the goings get tough...

I completely disagree Danny..If I was the owner I'd tell him to go fuck himself and put him in the reserves to see out his contract

If we give in to this ungrateful twat then every player we have will think if they pull a hissy fit they can do the same

I'd rather lose this dickhead than our integrity

No fuckin way, man. No player is bigger than the club. That's always been the case and it has always to be the case. Whether we're fannying around in the 3rd tier or on the brink of a title challenge. Any player thinks he's bigger than City can fuck right off with a kick up the arse and we'll get on with being City. Whether that's better or worse is completely irrelivant.

The fact that we can afford any replacement puts us in a very strong position. Plenty of players out there will be wanting a crack at filling Tevez' boots.

According to one of the 'journalists' on Sunday Supplement, he went to Europe, not Argentina, after being given permission to see his kids. Perhaps they came over to Spain to meet him there, but in that case, why not just carry the flight onto Manchester and see him here? I'm sure he could afford to put them up at the Lowry for a few nights.

Never want to see him in a blue shirt again. He's made his decision, so he can sit in the stands till someone coughs up the asking price. I'd have him training on his own, probably at Eastlands away from all the other players. Wearing a shirt with the logo 'the Malvinas are British' on it. If he complains, fine him. If he doesn't do it, fine him. If he coughs without permission, fine him. And the next time he asks for special leave cos his kid's sick/he's missing his kids/he wants to bang a whore, laugh in his face, then fine him.

If anyone starts a poll, can someone tick the 'kick the ugly twat out of the club' option for me, to save me bothering?

Fuck me, wasnt expecting to see this when I logged on this morning! And it comes after all the shit in the videos. Ace.
If this has been going on behind the background why the fuck did the club release those interviews in the week?I'd tell the little arse face to stay, get on with it and fuck off at the end of the year.

In the meantime we need a new proven world class striker and one that can score 30 goals a season. I do not believe that person is Mario but I do Ade.
Still doubly Mancini will play him so I suppose that person will be Dzeko and Bobby will now go all out to get him in Jan. Or prehaps Torres?

Yeah, kicking out a superb player who has obvious personal issues and treating him like shit by putting him in the reserves and training alone will resolve it all eh ... I really wonder about some peoples human compassion at times.

And I cannot see San Lorenzo or Boca Juniors paying £50/£60M - as that HAS to be what we sell him for.

well let me put it this way.
if you joined a company, and signed an employment contrct at a certain salary, regardless of what the salary is, and 18 months later you're still on that salary, but the company has moved forward very quickly and you are known to be the best at your job in the company, would you ask for a payrise? and if the boss said know would you not try some hard ball negotiation to get your pay rise? i know i would.
fans need to realise that football is just a job to these players, and they will treat it just the same as we would do ours.

i'll say it again, give him what he wants and move on.

Exactly my point earlier on in this thread. He could only go to Spain so that rules out the supposed "moving back home" theory
