0-0 away at Arsenal would be a good result or a disgrace?

I am with you defense wise, but fabianski is defo a big step over almunia.

This doesn't make Fabianski a good keeper for a top team tho. If we play like we know, we can trash them, as our back four is far more solid than theirs (unless Mancio sticks Boyata and Boateng CBs again) and we are equally effective going forward now that Yaya has understood his role better and Silva is starting to take the reins of our playmaking in his hands week in week out.

I'm with You and Gillie mate, all the way.
Just wanted to mark once more all the discomfort I felt every time I saw Almunia starting for them.
Sometimes the Voyeur may be rarely bizarre... :-)
That said, come wednesday I'll feel confident even if they should sign Julio Cesar.

Toughest game of the season so far.

They are in very good form.

I would rip your hands off for 0-0 right now.

I wouldn't, even if I do acknowledge Your right point.
I am conviced City is already top of the heap as per quality, so that I am not prepared to settle for anyless than a win, in advance.

Let's really do hope David and Mario shall recover by Wednesday, as Silva is the only very not replaceable player at City nowadays

Tough game yes.. but actually a tough game for both teams if we are fair. I still think it suits us more to be away from home.. we tend to start brighter... so we will see. Big game for both clubs too given the respective positions and points etc.
We owe them one, so i hope the players are up for punishing them in all possible ways.

Let's look at the BASIC facts and draw some pointless conclusions...

First:
Arsenal's defence is crap.
City's attack is very good.

Crap vs Very Good = Goals for City (2)

Second:
Arsenal's attack is extremely good.
City's defence is quite good.

Extremely Good Vs Quite Good = A goal for Arsenal

=> The result will be 1 - 2 to the Superblues

Simple really.

One thing is for certain, we can't be as wasteful infront of goal as we were today.

Who's their golkeeeper? Will we play in ten or eleven men? My own opinion is we HAVE TO BEAT THE GOONERS, DEFINITIVELY!
From Torino, Italia to Manchester, Lancashire this City is always our City!

Massive game, and one we have to win. If we lose, we could find ourselves 9 points behind United which seems a lot to claw back.

We have to approach the game with full intention of taking three points, not playing defensively and looking for the counter but taking the game to Arsenal, pushing them right up the pitch and keep them in their own half and throwing bodies forward.

This is a game we have to win if we want to be champions. Massive, massive game this.

I wouldn't be disappointed with a draw, especially considering our appalling away record against them but then this season feels different for many reasons. We should aim to repeat the performances at Fulham, Newcastle etc and go for the win

You never know........

Draw and it will make winning the title very, very hard. We need to have a winning mentality and go for the win.

Defo agree on the winning mentality: that's the actual point of my double rant on matchday thread.

Then, why a draw at the Emirates will make winning the title very, very hard... in a league where all the opponents are in steady will of dropping points... well, that's is beyond me.
Consistency has always been the word and, this season it is twice.
It's up to you Mate, bothering to explain how a draw there - in the middle of a streak of 9 positive results of of ten, and 4 potential wins. there for the taken, before taking to the swamp could make it - very, very hard ....

If we put the game into the context of the season, it's not a must win game, nor even a mustn't lose, but if you look at it in context of here and now, we must get something from it. If you take everyone's game in hand and, let's say, give them a win, this would be the table:

Rags 47
Arse 42
City 41
Yids 39
Chavs 38

As that stands, one slip-up could end our season, and with us having the difficult task of having to play them (apart from Spurs) away from home, a win against the Arse would see us 2 points in front of them even if they won their game in hand. A nice position to be in if you ask me.
