Dexter Blackstock

Should have been in boogie nights, no doubt.

Also, James Brown?

Can't believe Graeme Le Saux hasn't been mentioned. What do I win?
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Darren Bent - Sounds like an entry in someone's mobile phone contacts list. Distinguishes him from another, more familiar Darren.

Darren Fletcher - sounds like a bottle of brown sauce (come to think of it, he looks like a load of brown sauce as well).

And talking of brown sauce :- Danny Shittu (a most unfortunate name - no further comment required)

Here is a few.

Tab Ramos ( ex-US International, sounds like a famous surfer)

Werner Roth (original NY Cosmos player, more an Internet billionaire)

Garrincha (a villian in the next Batman movie)

Gai Assulin (pass)

Norman Conquest (former Aussie keeper)

Kasey Keller (ex-Leicester City keeper, possible member of the Baader Meinhof gang)

Esteban Cambiasso - stirs memories of Achaemenian Persian Kings.

All Italian footballers seem to have names that sound like film stars, however, an exception being Francesco Totti who sounds more like a transvestite pimp (not that I've ever come across a transvestite pimp).
