Does my head in that refs let shit teams who cant pas the ball kick fuck out of teams that can.

Yet if we try getting a bit physical back they will just get free kick after free kick.

Also ince is a twat.

Well that was an underwhelming half. Guidetti and Silva are the only attacking options on the bench. Guidetti for Jo soon please.

I have a worthless stream, so it's hard to tell, but it looks like we are really struggling with the poor pitch. We can't really get our passing game going with the ball bouncing like a ... well bouncing ball.

One thing we've done very well is win the physical battle. That's not to be sniffed on these occasions. I'd like to see a bit more creativity and whilst it's one nil anything can still happen. I'd be inclined to bring Silva on if nothing happens after a quarter of an hour and maybe Kolarov to whip some crosses in. Jo hasn't been too bad in my opinion but if we got a couple up then Guidetti could get a run.

Dzeko is supposed to be our goal threat but doesnt seem to be in a goalscoring position often enough. Jo isnt really a threat to score ( even though I said he would today that was because I thought we would win easy and he would get number 3) so any real threat is only on fast breakaways.

Veira and Barry are doing well in the middle to have a level of control , Boateng/Lescott doing fine at the back but we don't really look threatening enough on a consistent basis.

Vieira is still class when given time on the ball. Lescott has been awful, his passing is shocking. Milner still thinks he can run through people and can only cross the ball when falling on his arse. Hope Dzeko gets a goal, started quite well but looked a bit poo nearer the end and I'm afraid it might affect his confidence.

Lescott's passing hasnt been great but neither has anyone elses but he has had a very good defensive game as has Boateng.

I think Dzeko and the wingers still need to understand each other; he always goes on the near post but the crosses always go on the far one...this way he's not gonna get a header in. The only cross good for him was the low one Jo did, which in fact he almost connected with, but for the defender covering him well.

Had Yaya buried his chance in the first minutes we would be 3-0 up now, I'm sure.

The pitch is playing fine and definitely not an excuse for anything.

It's just a matter of time before Edin gets put in with a nice chance and he'll slot it. Job done. Next for shaving.

A proper cup tie, I'm enjoying it :)

Lacking a cutting edge - Silva?

must be my stream then ;-) I thought it looked like the ball was bouncing a lot, making passing - and most of all receiving passes - quite difficult.

The trouble with our crosses is that the person making it isnt good enough to put it where he wants. It's pot luck whether it goes near or far post or row Z.

Nowt wrong with that pitch mate. I remember a game where a car had been doing donuts and burnt out in the corner in the winter; 6 to 12 inch grooves in the pitch and we still played.

Gorton btw.
