I think that was half his problem. One good season and he got this arrogance about himself. Fact is he got there through his above and beyond devotion to fitness and hard work and since then he has this idea that he has "made it" as a player.

In saying that, he gave City some amazing performances and he isn't the first or even the most scathing ex-player to have a shot at Bobby. The rest about Birmingham and Ireland, well I don't give a fuck about either of them.

NEWCASTLE boss Alan Pardew will quiz Leon Best and Stephen Ireland today after they were pictured in a nightclub on the eve of Saturday's defeat.
Striker Best and midfielder Ireland - who are both injured - were shown displaying their torsos in images on the Facebook page of Newcastle's Tup Tup Palace nightclub.
Ireland, 24, on loan from Aston Villa, and Best, also 24, did not travel to Stoke, where Toon crashed 4-0.
But Pardew said: "This is a situation I will have to look at. Certainly, it is not ideal on on the eve of a match, even if you are not playing."

Apparently Ireland has already confirmed that it is all OK because he was the best dancer in the nightclub, and even the DJ confirmed it.

However he has clearly not been treated right by Newcastle, and Alan Pardew doesnt like him/understand him and has sold off all of Mark Hughes players, and that Night Club is just not the same any more, the soul has been ripped out of it etc etc blah blah blah .....

Stevie let it go mate, you were fantastic at times for us and for that I say thanks, your problem is Bobby has his hands full with managing a fellow Italian who is passionate, by getting rid of you, oh and another loon Bellers a fiery Welshman, he can just about cope, with Mario,, somwhere along the lines we have forgot about the entertainment, so you making forward runs and wanting to join in the attack would be not required. And as for Bellers running past John Terry like he was nailed to the pitch, we no longer do that Steve, we hoof it up the pitch and we defend. Anyway thanks for the memories you are missing Jack shit.

Bit OTT that...

He was shit for 4 out of 5 seasons for us, including the last 6 months of Hughes' reign. And he's been shit since he left us. Don't get me wrong, he had one great season, but he's clearly not good enough for us. He's not even good enough for Villa!

Sorry you said pace, I thought it read grace, imo he is missing jack shit negative tactics and negative fans some of which are nothing but armchair merchants, as for being shit for 4/5 yrs, I must have missed something I think this sums up City and fans for 34 yrs, Ireland IMO is no worse than Milner, Barry he is 40 mill less expensive, and £1250,00 a week each Looking at the future the homegrown rule player like him are worth keeping same as Ned as we do not need 6/7mill and we are sure as fuck are not getting 60 mills worth from YAWN YAWN. TakeTevez along with De Jong and Kompany out we are mid table at best. Top and bottom slagging ex City players is not what I do. I mean the goat is a red, or was.
