It's a bad move. We shouldn't be signing rags.

Apparently our option for backup was jermaine jenas. I know who I'd rather have

Funny how it seems to be those of you who live in foreign climes who object most. It's not a competition to see who hates them the most you know. If it was, I'd be in the top 1% because I fucking detest them with every fibre of my being. I live and work with the cuntish, arrogant, piss taking, deluded twats and have taken their shit for the best part of 50 fucking years.

BUT :

While there are certain United players I wouldn't want near my team it's normally because they are either a) odious fuckers like Neville .... or b) they've been there so long that they've become rag-institutionalised , a la Beckham.

Hargreaves doesn't fall into either of those categories ........... in truth, he barely qualifies to be called a rag.

Seems like United fans are angry at him now.
They're calling him selfish and disrespectful.

Not insofar as hating him is concerned no.

And his "shite crockedness" remains to be seen. Unlike you Antii I thought he was a superb player before his injuries. We'll all have to wait and see if he can get back to anywhere near that level - Mancini's willing to go with it, so am I.

Then move back to Manchester ;0)

An come to that how the hell do you take shit off those mental deficiant tw*ts ?, just throw them a bit of silver paper an they will play nicely for hours.

Getting back to Hargreaves, we dont have a simular player on the books now that Paddy has hung up his boots, so if he is fit then it gives Roberto an option to close a game down just as he did with Vieira who was hardly the fastest thing on two legs.

Nor is a fit Hargreaves that bad a player in his own right, his passing can stand up to comparison with anyone an he holds the ball well, throw in the experiance of the european style of football he has and not to take a punt on a pay for play contract looks daft.

Ok so he is an ex rag, but hardly a pin-up boy there having cost them loads of dosh for little return........An it would seriously p*ss the c*nts off if he proves he can still play at the highest level.

Spot on.

Quality footballer. Get him fit and it's a brilliant signing. If he's fucked well, we've not splashed out 18m on a crock.

This. In 2006 he was easily England's best player at the World Cup, better than Lampard, better than Gerrard and better than Barry.
If he can get back to that level it would be excellent.

Didn't I say that month ago when his stupid youtube video came available.

Pointless argument though and basically same as with Santa Claus. I'll say he is shite, people say he is quality if not for the injuries. He will never play and we will never know, either way.

You'd say the same about any current or ex Bayern player. Lahm, Heargreaves, Santa Cruz.

Heargreaves was average player for very good Bayern side. Better than Santa Cruz who was shit player for that same side.

Also, Heargreaves started three games in 2006 World Cup.

Obviously you fail to see that there's little bit more to it than him just being rag. He is a poor player that ALSO is a rag.

But hey, you once saw him half a decade ago for England against Ecuador and he was fucking ace. Must be top signing.

Goodness me, the word 'ironic' doesn't even begin.....

As I say mate, can't be arsed. You're doing your 'I'm the only rag hater in the village' routine again and I've not got time for it.

I just can't see the point. He is absolutely no better than what we have, not even as back up. Add to that that he's played about 10 minutes football in five years and the wrong side of 30. Would rather blood in a youngster tbh.

Vieira was at his peak 4/5 years before we signed him but he still did a good job. I don't see why Owen can't do a solid 20-30 mins at the end of a few games to calm things down, just like Vieira did. Plus, its more experience in the dressing room. Can't hurt since it cost us nothing and if he isn't good enough he just won't play. Don't understand all the negativity from you.

I don't see him coming onto the bench until there is an injury, not sure there is room for him at the moment. Like I said before in one of the plethora of Hargreaves threads, he is here for cover during the ACN.

And Vieira wasn't just fresh of a two year stint on the treatment table.

In past five years Heargreaves has played in five games. That's FIVE games. Three seasons prior to joining us Patrick Vieira had played 63 games. But other one was "old, slow and past it" because he never played for rags. Heargreaves is "great player who has been unlucky with injuries" because he was with rags. Half of these people claiming how great he is have barely seen him play.

Also, he will take a spot in 25 man squad. I don't want to see negative and crocked player like Heargreaves playing for us. We already have enough defensive midfielders.

On top of that he is a rag reject.

You don't think there's enough reasons?

The fact he's a rag has nothing to do with it , he's hardly a United legend. I don't want him because he's injury prone and no better than what we have.
