None of that away fans pub miles up the road bollocks like you get at Bolton and Wigan. All the ones I've ever met on holiday have been sound too. Just normal football fans like us.
I've heard some horror stories about the racism there in the 70s and 80s, but I was only born in '85 so I've not seen that. I've been to some much nastier places in English football.
Back in the day,,,,,
1981 FA Cup 6th round tie at Goodison Park and return at Maine Road, when Paul Power equalised in the dying seconds he not only took it to a replay, he brought the whole of Everton's hooligan element which was big right smack down on us, any fan that was there will tell you the walk run duck dive weave back to Lime St station was not for the faint hearted. The most snidey fans you will ever meet Have yer got the time mate "SLASHED" was there signature. For mancs Everton was a rough ride. No beef with them they just hate us as you will see when they vist us.
