Me I love the 1-6, I really do believe we won't see that again in my lifetime and that gave me more joy, even though I attended the Wembley win

The real kicker though is that no matter what everyone says it wasn't just another 3 points in the league, it was actually a 6 pointer and possibly the most important this season

If we had lost, which was expected, the scum would be 1 point ahead of us, confidence high, and we would be licking our wounds.

This was 6 points and it may turn out to be the most important result of the season. This could be the game that won us the premiership. We have the confidence even The Shieks money can't buy, that win not only gives us clear blue water between us and the preseason favourites, but it has changed the worlds perception of us, we are now the most feared team in the Premiership.

It was 6 points on the 23rd, but we don't really know how many more that destruction of the scum will deal us as the season goes on

And the 2011/12 league title is a lot more important than the 2010/11 FA cup

Trophies won by beating Utd in a league game - 0

Tophies won, actual silverware after a 35 year drought, by beating Stoke at Wembley - 1

Yes it was a great day when we won at OT but I just double checked and we did in fact only get 3 points for it. Sometime in the season we may lose a game somewhere, and Utd may win on the same weekend - perish the thought but its possible - does this make such a weekend a 6 point game? Nope. Leagues are won over a season, not on one match - 2007/8 we doubled Utd; they won the Prem, and we won the square route of fuck all. Id sacrifice losing to United twice in a season if it meant we went on to win the league at the end of it.

Where we challenging for the title in 2007/8?

United were favourites for the league this year, we are now 6 points better off than if we had lost at the swamp, you don't think that has any relevance?

You checked for a pulse recently?

Have you checked how many games, and points, that it takes to win a league title? The 3 points we got at OT sadly wont be enough to clinch the title this year. Unfortunately I just checked and we have to play another 37 games as well, making it in fact 38 games that the competition is decided over, not just that 1 game, and will also need another 80 points on top of the 3 we got at Old Trafford if we are to clinch the title. That leaves us 80 odd points and 37 games short, when accounting for the win against Utd.

Damn that Premier League fixture list.

If the answer is "no I didn't" then there's something seriously wrong with you.

We WILL win another trophy soon, it might even be the FA Cup. The chances of us EVER giving the rags a humiliating 1-6 trouncing on their own turf again are very very remote.

yes but that feeling was nowhere near the joy when Yaya blasted it in. that feeling was nothing like the relief and joy after the final whistle was blown. that feeling can not be compared to the feeling when the trophy was presented to us and lifted in the air by MCFC players and staff

Fair enough and I fully understand why :-)

But the sixth goal of the 1-6 exorcised every last single demon I had inside me about those rag tossers and is a moment I will never forget.

I went for the FA Cup final win but that description , laughed like a demented schoolgirl , is very accurate for that 6th goal.

Winning the Cup was better. Derbies have always been too tense and i can't abide the rag supporters in the pub where I saw the game, so I could only relax when the 4th goal went in. But I was certain about the result in the Cup Final, plus flying back home to meet friends & family at Wembley made it super special. Now I'll have to go and watch it again.

Worth bumping this up perhaps in view of how the season has panned out since Oct 23rd.

Any of those who mistakenly thought the 6-1 win was more important than the FA Cup win and so pivotal might want to rethink it, given it didnt make any psychological dent whatsoever on our rivals.

I can only work out which was the better of the two on the amounts of tug's I had in the 24 hour period that followed, both special occasions. On cup final win it was no tug watching the game, nearly had one whilst seeing us lift the cup but resisted as was in company. Where as I took to bed after and wanked myself to death. Now the 1 - 6, I was on my own and cracked one out with ten minutes to go, however I never got blisters in the 24 hour period that followed. I can therefore make the judgement that lifting the FA Cup brought me more delight!
I haven't a fecking clue what I'm doing! Gillie come back man I want my sig back. As the Photobucket thingy gone?
