Excellent contribution as ever.

Impossible to have an opinion on whether you think we will win the league?? Hilarious.

Excellent contribution aswell from you.

Yes it is IMPOSSIBLE for me to decide whether we'll win the league on just 12 games. The next 4 games will be huge in deciding whether we will or not.

Nah, the next few games will only decide whether we start to completely run away with it or whether we have to slug it out more to try & regain the advantage. It won't decide the outcome one way or the other.

I suppose. Liverpool away is no given although we can win there, Chelsea look shocking so I fully expect us to take 3 points there. Arsenal at home would have been a massacre just a few weeks ago but they've really picked up form and with Van Persie in current form it could be a tricky one. As long as we take 6 points, i'll be very happy.

The Champion's Lg games are the fly in the ointment to me. If it wasn't for the fact that they are such difficult ones, I'd expect 9 points; I just think we look on a different planet to those 3 teams. These two CL games are real gruellers though & one or two players, Yaya in particular, tend to drop in standard at such times.

I could see us letting in goals v those 3, even on top form, but having watched them defending, I just don't see how they could live with a full strength City. If we do come through this section of games still in the CL & still top of the Prem, I recon it will be the biggest achievement since the Prem began. It's rare teams come through such a run of games in good shape.

Hopefully we can field a weakened team against Bayern because we'll already be through. I actually think Arsenal will be the toughest out of those 3. We are so used to teams coming to our place and sitting back and Arsenal will never do that and they seem to be a much more solid outfit than they were earlier in the season. And our defending hasn't been that great, Having said that it's still a match we should win.

I can see Arsenal causing us all manner of problems in our half, but they did v Utd! Their problem is stopping us. Re the Bayern game; if we were to win in Napoli of course we are through but depending on the actual scores in tomorrows games, it could be that a 2 goal margin win v Bayern would see us top the group. I think Bob would go for that if it's on, as it gives us a much better chance of going further.

If Bayern win by a cricket score tomorrow & we also win then of course we'll play a weakened team in the last game.

Fair play to Wenger as well, his teams always play football and they're great to watch. I can see there being plenty of goals in that game aswell.

On a side note, the battle for the remaining two CL spots will be v interesting this season. Spurs, Liverpool Chelsea and Arsenal, could finish in any order tbh.

Anyone who believes the title or the cl is in teh bag is a bookies dream

If we get a bit of luck - if we dont get any serious injuries, if we can keep our form going or pick ourselves up when we have a dip - yes we have a good chance of the prem title

We need to step up considerably to win the CL

I'm just [strike]enjoying[/strike] loving the ride at the moment. Stunning football, goals galore, best entertainment since the footy we saw when Keegan won us the Championship. It's adds up to one huge smile and a new found confidence going into each match we play. I'm already looking forward to Liverpool and for the first time since I've supported the club thinking we'll come away from Anfield with all 3 points.

I'd put the rags in there too, I rekon they will fuck up a few times this season.. somewhere unexpected. QPR or Toon away and then have a mini slump. All five of them will be battling it out until Van Driver is injured, then just 4 of them.

I've called it a two horse race with us v rags but I could see a possibility of it becoming a one horse race & the rags ending up in a dog fight for top 4. I thought that the usual 'big 4' types were pathetic last season & allowed an average team to win the league. This season that same team has a different challenge & I could actually see them getting a lot worse in the 2nd half of the season rather than a lot better as they realise they are out gunned. That will require one or two other teams to actually step up to the plate & give them a seeing to though, rather than just relying on us.

I said last year that I thought Arsenal showed signs of missing out & I can see the same thing in the rags but only if teams stop being frightened of them. It wil be an interesting tester next week, to see if the geordies go there & play solid or whether their arses go, like usual. If they stay tight, they could get something but I won't hold my breath.

One point which you've mentioned before is that teams are almost scared or embarrassed to beat United. Chelsea had more chances than we did to score yet didn't have the bottle/nerve/composure to put away their chances.

We scored six and could have scored another six.

Where the fuck did they find you???

If teams were not frightened of them at all.. they would be scrapping to get in the top 4. I have no doubt whatsoever about that. They are mediocre with a bit of flair on a good day and not a lot of grit. On a bad hair day they should by rights get panned.

It is funny how you cannot quantify this... you can only see it during play. Maybe the closest you can get is looking at the number of open goals missed for no reason whatsoever.. Swansea, Norwich.

'Arry's Tottingham must be getting quite optimistic about their chances; if they win their game in hand, they'll be only one point behind the Scummers and, if that happens, Fungusscum's outfit might start looking over their own shoulders at who is chasing them, rather than trying to hang onto the coat tails of the team in blue shirts, racing away in front.

Psychologically, that might start to create further interesting doubts in the minds of the Trafford Red Sox and then anything is possible.

That's a really nice try but for two minor points. I'd put money on Spurs failing to beat Everton when they get round to playing it. Also the rags looking back at Spurs is a bit like a flea bitten donkey looking back at a group of ambitious rabbits. Spurs will roll over again v the rags while trying their very very bestest hardest to look like they are mean.
