they'll be saving their best for the top four fight I reckon

I think both sides will take this seriously at this stage, if Bobby doesn't then I wonder if he ever will.

We have tottenham two days before the second leg. Not sure how Mancini will play this one.

We have to play Sunday before playing Liverpool in the league on the Tues as well. They have two extra days off to prepare.

don't care at all about weekend action, make sure we beat scouse 1 with the best possible team. In the final against a lesser opponent,who ever it is, let those that got us this far, have a go.

Swings and roundabouts. They play boxing day and 30th before they play us. I think with the number of games over Christmas and New Year is where our squad depth will come into its own. We can probably afford to rotate against WBA and Sunderland before the league game. Hopefully a nice easy FA cup draw will allow Bob to do the same before the first leg. Same for Wigan away before we facing Spuds and 2nd leg.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

That's some run of games to be missing Yaya.

Time for Nasri to step up in the central role he wants. Supporting striker should be perfect position for him.

Need to get Hargreaves match fit too, to rotate with de Jong, Barry and Milner.

True enough.....be interesting to see what happens in terms of that base of the midfield

Will Hargreaves be added to the PL squad (actually....I think he's already in it.....is that right? Was it the CL he was omitted from?)

Razak to stay and figure in that period? Barry/De Jong? Barry/Milner? Hargreaves/Barry? Razak/De Jong

We'll miss Yaya though that's for sure BUT we've certainly got some spaces in the squad we could use up if we need to come January (put in bold) (I think we only have a 24 rather than 25 man named PL squad as it is....the likes of Mario, Savic, Razak etc still outside the 25 due to age)

Richards, Micah;
Hart, Charles Joseph John;
Taylor, Stuart James;
Lescott, Joleon Patrick;
Barry, Gareth;
Milner, James Philip;
Johnson, Adam;
Clichy, Gael;
Pantilimon, Costel Fane;
Zabaleta Girod, Pablo Javier;
Kompany, Vincent;
Toure, Kolo Abib;
Kolarov, Aleksandar;
De Jong, Nigel; Toure,
Gnegneri Yaya;
Jimenez Silva, David Josue;
Nasri, Samir;
Dzeko, Edin;
Tevez, Carlos;
Aguero Del Castillo, Sergio;
Onuoha, Chinedum;
Bridge, Wayne Michael;
Nielsen, Gunnar;
Hargreaves, Owen.

We are going to have problems at CB with Kolo Toure missing. We can't risk Worf & Kryton in every game & imo, we can't stop Suarez & Co with Savic + a random stand in CB.

Feel sorry for Lucas if true, but will help us immensely. He is their only midfielder who can compete with us (despite the scouse love for the strange looking jay spearing)

actually just confirmed, lucas out for the season:

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story ... on?cc=5901

Feel sorry for him, as he was a solid player on a good run of form. But now Liverpool have some serious questions to answer, most notably: which over-priced buy from the summer can fill his shoes?

Utter shit, he was easily their best player this season and last.

Glad it will make it harder for Liverpool, but hate to see players out for long term, especially ones in this sort of form.

After all the shit he's had to take from those scouse wankers & having turned it around so they're all kissing his arse, it's unfortunate & I feel sorry for him & sorry that it's not Suarez instead & more serious.

City will play Liverpool in the two-legged semi-final of the Carling Cup. We will be home in the first game on Wednesday 11 Janaury.

The first game will be shown live on BBC TV and will kick-off at 7.45pm. The second leg at Anfield will be shown on Sky and takes place on 25 January also with a 7.45pm start time.

Having drawn 1-1 last weekend, City and Liverpool will now meet three times in January.

This is why there should not be shit england matches taking up 4/6 weeks of the season. Fucking ridiculous having to play every 2/3 days because those cock knee CUNTS need money to pay for their stadium.
