It's just not true, their points haul from their last 19 compared to their first 19 is usually identical every season( Statto.com if you want to check ). This is something that old gin soak has spoon fed the media and them clowns repeat it ad nauseam until everyone believes it's true.

The only evidence needed to highlight that they arenot the force they once were is in their CL performance this season.

Chances are they've never had a set of post Christmas Premier League away fixtures as hard as this season or a squad so thin to deal with it either.

"they always do better in the 2nd half of the season".

As already pointed out, this is largely a load of bollox, but what I will say to the rags and pundits constantly preaching this shit...

You better be right because you're 2nd half fixtures aren't nearly as kind as the first half.

As much as we hate him, Bacon face is the main reason why United have won so many titles.
It's the mentality he installs into his team. Look at how many games United win late on. I know people on here say that it's because other teams lie down for them or whatever but can anyone think of another team who even comes close to them in terms of looking dangerous in the last 5-10 minutes of games? It's their self confidence and belief that they will score and will win. That is what scares teams.

Ted,
That myth post just about said it all....adn if people don't believe you Mate, maybe they'll take note of a similar statement from Malcolm Allison about City v the rags in 1966-67.

"...our next game was at Old Trafford. We lost the game 0-1 thanks to a goal from Denis Law, but gave such a poor perforance it left a sour taste in my mouth for days. That game made me determined from then on that my team would not be afraid of anybody. The players didn't want to go on the pitch before the game and I had to accept the situation although it was killing me."

"I went mad at them in the dressing room afterwards calling them "a load of fucking cowards"and saying to them "How dare you be afraid of Manchester United." They'd lost the game in their heads even before the kick off and I made the decision there and then that mentally at least, a Manchester City side would never lose again to Manchester United."

Good enough for Ted and Malcolm Allison....then it's good enough for me.

That would explain why so many teams are 1 down from Utd's first attack; because they're worried about what will happen in the last 5 mins. Can't you see how you are buying this shite ?

It's not THEIR self confidence they will score and win which is the problem, it's the confidence of their opponents that they will concede & Utd will win & that comes from the whole world being told beforehand that it's what is going to happen; and you are doing it yet again now. They get fans of their opponents, psyching out their own teams & fans, to help Utd win titles.

Giggs is in the media today 'our experience will make the difference' 'we've been here so many times' etc etc. That will be Jones, Smalling, DeGay, Wellbeck, Evans, Little Pee, Anderson, Cleverley, Young, Valencia etc etc etc all those years of post Christmas run ins. IT'S BOLLOCKS. It's designed to get teams to shit out & help them win.

Kinell, I just put a line in my other post about Allison then saw I'd scrubbed it by accident & was about to edit & put it back in when I saw you'd already posted it whilst I was posting mine!

I was going to post something similar about Giggs' comments. Most of their knowhow retired last summer, VDS, Ratboy and Scholes. Then they sold some more of their knowhow inWes Orange and O'Shea, not to mention their crocked knowhow in Vidic and Fletcher.

Giggs commentary conjures up classic schoolyard bullyboy tactics...nothing more nothing less...i wish someone would have tonked the Rags bigtime over the last few months to show teams their vulnerabilities -- say a 1-6 thumping at the Swamp just to yknow get people believing they could be beaten.

City fans have always known we will have to perform if we want win the league. The way fixtures are we may find it impossible not to slip behind them for a spell. That doesn't mean we won't win the league. It's possible to be realistic & also see faults in our opponents. If their facade gets punctured again they can have a bad spell, if teams do their jobs when they play them. The rags are not the force they once were & the biggest advantage they have is the wave of bullshit which helps them to persuade teams to roll over for them. Some of us would rather help destroy that myth whilst others would rather help perpetuate it.

These muliple threads telling you not to post derogatory stuff about the rags, presumably that's just something you've made up? How many are there?

Jesus Christ, it never ends.

Blackburn boss Steve Kean buoyed by Ferguson phone call

Steve Kean says he has been boosted by messages of support from fellow Premier League managers.

Kean, whose Blackburn side are five points from safety, revealed he had had a "good chat" with Sir Alex Ferguson.

"What was said I would rather keep private but it was very encouraging," said Kean.

This is why so many teams collapse at the Rags' feet.

They just played his comments on the radio, he goes on to say some gubbins about it showing the stature of the man or words to that effect. By SHEER COINCIDENCE they happen to be playing on New Year's Eve.

It's incestuous, it's creepy, and it's plain wrong. In the benign and cheery world of the naive it most probably looks like Taggart is doing no more than putting an avuncular arm around the shoulder of those less fortunate, but we know all too well here - and around the country - what "a "good chat" with "Sir Alex Ferguson" boils down to in terms of United's results: three points in the bag before kick off.

You mean like this one:

CityGer wrote:Is it a seasonal thing?

I've read more shite on here over the last few days than I have in the previous five years.

Teams lying down for united, managers doing bacon 'favours', bent refs, bent fixture lists, bent PL, teams raising their agsinst us, the refs under instruction to keep the league interesting etc etc.

Get a fucking grip.

I've never heard anything like it. It's cringeworthy.

Something you deemed so important it couldn't go in any of the other threads ? Why was it so important for you to start a new one ? Why were you the posting in this one SIX MINUTES after it appeared ? As I said in my OP I only posted it as a reply to your ridiculous thread & another one telling us how stupid we are to be confident of fucking up the rags this season ON A CITY FORUM.

Seeing as you had felt it neccessary to start new threads on it when it could have gone elsewhere, I thought I'd make a point of it by doing the same here & it would soon disappear off the page with very few replies. What happens ? Six minutes later you're here. The day after, you're back. And now, you're back again. Are you discussing stuff with the rest of us ? No. Making any points worth discussing ? No. Letting this thread, you object to, die off ? No. Keeping it going ? Yes.

Well done.

It's still on the page just fucking scroll down & read it. YOU POSTED IN IT ON THE FIRST PAGE. ARGUING THE SAME SHIT YOU POSTED IN YOUR THREAD.

And you're still here reading yet more evidence, on this very thread, of Ferguson's influence on other managers but conveniently ignoring it.
