It's why Mancini finds himself in a tricky place unable to get funds for two or three players that he thinks he needs - it basically comes down to being his own fault.

Adebayor was sent out to reduce the cost to the club. We could have gotten less sending him abroad. I think he's doing good work for us at the moment. Spurs are fucking up Liverpool's season. If we can't finish ahead of Spurs then we don't deserve the league.

It suits us greatly if the last CL place is being fought over and is alternating because it makes FFP harder on those clubs so they fall further behind. It suits us that Spurs are taking points away from our rivals.

Sure he's a solid player, but we'd have to bend the team to him and that would be too much of a cost.

THIS! Fucks up a lot more than just Liverpool, unless Spurs fade badly one of Arsenal and Chelsea is going to miss out on CL. That suits us fine. Lots of aftertiming on here as well, nobody seriously thought Spurs were serious title challengers at the start of the season and it remains to be seen whether they have a strong enough squad to sustain a challenge to the end.

It will be great for us if Arsenal or Chelsea miss out on the CL. Chelsea can probably cope with it more as they have Roman to help out, but Arsenal's entire financial framework is based on getting into the CL each season. They don't like spending too much money as it is, if they were to miss out on the CL this season, their barren years will most likely continue for a while.

Chelsea can cope with it but will completely fuck up their FFP position, taking out a huge chunk of revenue next season means they cannot possibly show improved finances year on year. 4 clubs competing for 2 places going forward means there could well be an increasing gap between the top 2 and the next 4.

All the top clubs are heavily dependant on the massive Cl income. Missing out will hurt any of them. What we really need is for Newcastleto come at a gallop and City, Spurs, Newcastle....all get in.

There will really besome panic then, the media will go into meltdown.

Think that would be one of the best things to happen to the PL in a long time (besides City winning the) title. Shake up the same ol' teams and get some broader competition

I can see the intial reasoning behind the move - Mancini thought he was a disruptive influence in the dressing room, didn't fancy him as a player and thought that we had left spurs trailing so far in our wake that they wouldn't be challenging us in the Prem. Well 5 months later on it's looking like that decision may come back to bite us on the arse. If spurs beat Wolves on Saturday (which I would expect them to do) then they will go level on points with us. Admittedly we will have a game in hand on them but it will put more pressure on us going into Monday night's game against Wigan. No one can doubt the positive influence that Adebayor has had on spurs' season so far and to make matters worse we are paying more than half his wages. I really wish that we could recall him just to fuck up the rest of spurs' season

Sorry mate but the whole thread is negative. We didn't want Ade and we let him go on loan to rake in some cash, purely financial reasons.

If we dont believe in ourselves enough we wont win the league, simple as. If we score more points than anyone else we will. Simples.

No.

I'm pretty sure we don't have a right of recall clause either if it's a long-term deal. We should've packed him off to PSG or some other high-paying club out of the way. Or kept him. I've never had a problem with him and I've always rated him.

Totally agree. That's why I think if Mancini still around comes the summer we might see him back at the club. Especially if we find a club that is willing to take Tevez.

After watching him tonight, I hope not. His performance reminded me why Mancini got rid of him in the first place

A bit of over re-acting to Ade's performance last night as if everyone was waiting for it to justify why we let him go ! The whole team didn't perform and Harry admitted it, so singling out Ade is a bit rich I think.
Anyway I thought it was not his abilities that Mancini had doubts about but something other (personal, didn't get along etc...).

You're right Dubai, it's not his ability that Mancini questions it's his attitude. He made it pretty clear in a presser recently that Adethewhore wanted to play every game and wouldn't accept being part of a squad. He hasn't kicked off at Spurs yet because he is one of the first names on the teamsheet every week, ie he's feeling the love.
