What happenned? Winter happenned. I wrote about this in a match preview. Pitches got messed up disrupting our passing game. We stopped letting teams come at us in the first 20 minutes and they now park the bus from the off. Our strikers went off the boil. Aguero seems to dribble until he loses his free space, Dzeko wants to shoot whenever he's covered and Balo prefers getting carded to scoring goals. Dave nor Nasri has been as effective and our wingbacks have been covered better.

What pitches got messed up? We have had a mild winter & pretty much all premiership pitches are like bowling greens now !!!

Everton's pitch was clearly slow, passes kept falling short and only Silva seemed able to understand that and adapt, Wigan's wasn't good but clearly better than many a few years ago when they had that trench down the middle. They must have stopped driving the pie van up and down it.

Wigan's pitch is usually ok until the egg chasers start playing on it any time now!!!
Everton's may have been slow, but that is clutching at straws to excuse the inept performance of our players.

Failure to adapt = ineptness...

The pitch at Stamford bridge, the hawthornes and stadium of light was clearly chopped up. Check out a replay. Compare it to coms where we still have a100% home record.

All true I'm sure. Can remember the Hawthorns in particular now you mention it. There must be a ploughed field somewhere where we can do some extra training sessions? Or borrow Boundary Park once a week?

So when other teams visit the grounds mentioned, are the pitches any different?
Or do you think teams prepare the pitches specifically to stop us playing?
If so should your post not be in the Paranoia & Conspiracy Theories thread!!!

Even real Madrid tried it against Barca last season. It worked too if I remember correctly.
