I never seen Mancini so pissed off since the physios took 10 minutes and a goal conceded to bandage Zabba's wounded head.
It should be something odd happened within the training facilities or some heavily misjudged medical treatment procedure.

oh wait... am I turned into a daft pretending publisher?

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has admitted Mario Balotelli cannot be trusted to make the Blues' Premier League title dream come true.

With Mancini set to turn to his fellow Italian following the "stupid" injury that will keep Sergio Aguero out of Saturday's encounter with Sunderland, the City boss has admitted Balotelli could be crucial in the title run in - but that he still can't trust the enigmatic striker.

The situation is compounded by the injury to Aguero with Mancini having no idea when the forward will be fit to return.

Reports in Argentina suggest Aguero has suffered a severely blistered foot after the player's skin reacted to a spray he used following an incident involving a toy belonging to his three-year-old son .

Carlos Tevez is still not considered fit enough to start either, which leaves only Edin Dzeko, who has scored just five times in his last 25 appearances and none in his last six, and Balotelli as Mancini's only other forward options.

That Balotelli has ability is beyond question.

However, the 21-year-old is just as capable of the bizarre, appearing at a press conference to unveil Andrea Stramaccioni as new manager his former club Inter Milan earlier this week as if to prove the point.

So, whilst Balotelli looks set to be handed an increased role in City's championship challenge, Mancini knows he cannot rely on the Italy forward.

"I don't trust Mario. No-one trusts Mario," said Mancini. "He is a top player. He can do everything. He can score two goals against Arsenal next week. But he can also take a red card.

"Until now he did well and in the last eight games he could be important for us. But trust him? Never."

"I don't trust Mario. No-one trusts Mario. He can do everything. He can score two goals against Arsenal next week. But he can also take a red card."
Mancini on Balotelli Quotes of the week

Not even to remain in England when he is given a couple of days off, as was the case this week.

"I can't put him in his house for two days," said Mancini. "Probably the moment will arrive when he will know what he should do
this says mancini will tell at the end of the season what happened

http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/7639000/
when he has two days off.

"I hope he will grow out of it because he needs to know this is his job. He needs to work and rest. But he is young."

As Mancini spoke around Aguero's injury, it was tempting to think Balotelli might have had something to do with it.

"I am really disappointed for what happened last week," said Mancini. "I am more than really disappointed. It is impossible that we can lose a player for a stupid situation.

"I will tell you what happened when the season has finished. It was not at home, it was here, but it was not another player.

"He can't play with this injury for a week, 10 days, two weeks? I don't know.

"For us it is a big problem because we lost Sergio against Stoke and tomorrow he can't play. We hope we can recover him for Arsenal but I don't know if it is possible. I hope it won't be weeks."

He had blisters when he first joined us - the rumour at the time was that it was from trying too many boots for his sponsor. Maybe the poor little lamb has sensitive skin. (and I hope he hasn't been trying more boots recently)

Now that's interesting. I remember reading something about that now you mention it & once again it falls in with my theory that he's been carrying something pretty much all season.

If you saw his early season form, it dropped off for several games when he changed to the Puma boots. Maybe he should have found some he likes before accepting their cheque.

As for the sprays, I recall the wife spraying her shoulder with a heat spray and everywhere it landed, even the overspray, turned bright red. I had to wash it off quickly and she ended up being sick. Weird reaction, but until you use some of this stuff, you have no idea how your skin will react.

that make very much sense. and pretty much close to the kind of casualties I was wondering.

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has rubbished several of the unusual theories behind his foot injury and he hopes to be fit to face Arsenal on Sunday.

Last week, Blues manager Roberto Mancini said Aguero would miss the Premier League encounter with Sunderland after picking up what he said was a 'stupid' injury.

It subsequently transpired Aguero had a swollen foot, which had reacted badly to a spray applied to treat an injury.

How Aguero got the initial injury was the subject of numerous claims, including one that he had fallen off his son's motocross bike and another that he had tripped down the steps of the team bus.

That City's £38million record signing missed the draws against Stoke and Sunderland which mean the club are now five points adrift of title favourites Manchester United just made the situation even worse.

However, Aguero insists there is less to the injury than some have tried to claim, as he said on his official website: "During the match against Chelsea, I injured my ankle and it was sprayed with a topical anaesthetic that caused a burn on the upper part of my right foot.

"The injury worsened after a few days and when boils appeared I was told I wouldn't play against Stoke and then against Sunderland.

"You can imagine how I felt, being out of playing condition when my team is trying to take the championship. It's always worse from the bench.

"After that I started receiving incredible rumours about how it all happened.

"This is a simple injury and not a plot of intrigue."

Yet, however Aguero received the injury, his absence has been keenly felt.

Of Mancini's other striking options, Edin Dzeko is presently in a poor run of form, Mario Balotelli's increasing erratic behaviour is casting a shadow over the club and Carlos Tevez has not appeared fully fit since returning to the fold.

And now City have reached the point of no return, knowing that unless they beat Arsenal at the Emirates on Sunday any remaining hopes of winning the title will surely have evaporated.

Aguero is desperate to be fit. And he insists this is not the time to start pondering what might have been.

"It's hard to believe it happened while we are fighting for the title," he said of his injury. "This is the real status of my injury. I got back from practice today and it's not bothering me.

"If it all goes well, I'll be at coach's disposal next Sunday.

"This is no time for moping. I've said it before and I'll say it again - we are going to fight until the end. That's our collective goal and I'm fully committed to it."

I remember the incident in the Chelsea game when he injured his ankle & at the time, it looked as if he was diving, as fuck all happened, but then it became apparent that he was genuinely injured. My question would be; why such an innoccuous incident required treatment & a spray in the first place.

Something is not right with him irrespective of the spray imo & they're keeping it quiet so the oppo don't play on it.

I dunno mate. Aguero has it all. He's a machine that tears at defenders.

After his first 4/5 games all he's done is show skill and finishing. There's much more to his game.
