I noticed that. Maybe bcause his mother is German !!

What a great brace by Balo. Super !

I did like when Montolivo was kicked in the face and the free kick went against him.

Balo and Cassano have been immense. Hummels was turned on the first and Lahm was a spastic for the second.

Failing to set and offside trap like that is fucking criminal. They were just two in the line and he was facing the other defender.
Maybe he just got lazy and didn't want take the run?

If they just close down Pirlo and de Rossi, Italy will have very few options.

everybody fairly expected that.
I think that uber respect that their manager had with the starting line up and tactics have bottled them. Kroos for Muller is too much. they should have gone all out and take advantage of Italians inferior physical form.
we would have stood no chance if the game would have gone to extra time.

still lot to be done, tho.

Over impressed by italy attitude so far the championship.

Come on City!

I think he'll score the third with an overhead back heel from the half way line before taking his shirt off, climbing into the commentary box and stuffing it down Shearer's throat. Wonder if I can get odds on that from Paddy Power?

Good game to watch. Balotelli is having a great game.

Italy coming good at the business end of the tournament. Typical Germany, destroy all the rabble, get cocky, go out.

It used to be the other way around, playing shit in the group stages and hacking their way to the final where they win on penalties.
But somehow they've turned into the Dutch. They play beautiful and exciting football, impress in the group stages, but bottle it when it gets serious.

German banner behind the goal announced "Red Munichs." Do they not know? Or maybe they do.

i can't believe what i am reading .... motd

Former England captain Alan Shearer on MOTD:

"We mentioned before the game how many options Germany have up front. Well they are going to have one of those options now because their front three are not in the game. "We talked before the game how Mario Balotelli did everything right against England without reward but he has done everything right tonight. His performance is sensational. He is bigger, stronger and he is getting the goals. He has added everything we wanted him to add to his game. It is a wonderful performance."

Just when you thought it couldn't get any better than Mario making Germans cry in Poland, Boateng shits out of another challenge and then gets hauled off. Brilliant.

I'd suggest that the Beeb have had a verbal battering over their treatment of Mario during the England game, they were very subdued at the start of this game and once he got the first there was no way to paint him in a bad light, even if they wanted.

I'd suggest that they've copped on and started to notice how well he's playing. After a while you can't ignore it.
