Was convinced he's guilty but now not so sure. I am also wondering whether the c bomb has ever been dropped as often as this during court proceedings.

If I'm ever in trouble with the law, I'm getting Terry's solicitor! What a king!

Depends if he's doing overtime on Bridge's ex-Mrs!

It seems that Terry's council have gone out to discredit Ferdinand rather than defend Terry and they are doing a decent job. They are playing on AF's ego and he's not failing to deliver.

This has become common place in British justice where regardless of the truth, the best lawyer wins. Let's see how what the Crown has to say tomorrow, or will they just wilt away? They have a duty to at least put the case across, to the best of their ability, because of all the millions that may be spent. However, I just don't see them wanting to see Terry found guilty.

And, Cheers Chinners, been out all day and this was a God send; really enjoyed your last threadon Twitcher. It does take me a while to read though, so much to digest and not easy to read, this Twitter speak.

So max penalty if found guilty is a couple of grand - thats like docking him pocket money. Which pretty much sums this up.

How much is this costing the tax payer?

Pathetic really, isn't it.

However, would this affect his sponsorship deals, his England status; why put it off until after the Euro's?

For me though, this is a case of precedence. Terry hasn't denied he said the words, he can't do, but if the words he has said are to be allowed this will have repercussions to the wider world; none less than those areas with certain groups.

Beefers,
If the defence can assert (or create a weight of evidence) that Terry was merely repeating, ad verbatim, what Ferdinand has already said to him, then Terry's words cannot be interpreted as being racially abusive. That is why it is vitally important to cast doubt that the words "YOU" and "A" (directly preceding the insulting words) are not clear enough to be considered proof.

I think it's funny that she isn't deaf, she is PROFOUNDLY deaf, and wasn't born into a deaf family, but a PROFOUNDLY deaf family. I think Chinners was short a few words in his copy.

Well spotted.
What would it matter whether her parents were deaf or not? My Mum was deaf, it didn't mean I could lip read.

Funny how my Mum never managed to hear me ask for sweets..too deaf. But she never failed to clip my ear'ole if I muttered something unseemly and silently under my breath. Mums have mysterious powers.

DAY 2

<ALL RISE>

Prosecution is now showing court further video footage from QPR v Chelsea match - of action before alleged incident took place

Terry continuing to make notes while sat in dock as court watches last 15 minutes of match in silence

Just gone through game footage. No footage of Ferdinand and Cole speaking at end or Terry speaking to Cole. Conversations crucial to case

Lawyers agree conversations happened. But no agreement on content of conversations.

Court watching more footage of QPR v CFC game in Oct 2011. Martin Tyler & Ray Wilkins' commentary subtitled. 'Well played, young fellow'

Court hears that Prozone was used to work out the distance between Terry and Ferdinand during altercation

QPR supplied evidence to the FA gathered from Prozone cameras showing distances between Terry and Ferdinand between the 84th and 85th min

Ferdinand's 'shagging' gesture, or slow fist pump, took place between 84 mins 49 seconds

Court hears Terry interviewed by FA officials at Chelsea training ground five days after match.

Court now being played audio recording of interview that took place on Oct 28 between Terry & FA Regulatory officers about alleged incident

Terry: 'I think he's accusing me of calling him a black c*** in the altercation ... it's clear to say I repeat what he's said'

Terry told FA: "he didn't smell or anything but i pretended"

Terry says he made his statement immediately because 'i'm not having' being called a racist

Terry to FA: "i have been called a lot of things in my career but being racist is not one i am prepared to take at all."

Terry says he's been called lot if things but 'I'm not having anyone let alone anton think that about me because that's not my character'

Terry: 'I obviously hear [from Ferdinand] the word 'shagging' & I don't want to say it, but if I have to 'shagging Bridge's missus''

Terry: "i just heard 'calling me a black cunt' (from Ferdinand). I was quite taken aback by that."

Terry: 'We know about all the camera angles [in modern football]. If I had something to hide I could whisper it into someone's ear'

Terry to FA official: Never in my career has anyone accused me of that. Not only was I hurt by it but I was taken aback

Terry: "I know I've got nothing to hide...if I wanted to I could whisper something to someone..I'm repeating what he said to me.."

Keith Cousins, Terry's rep, intervenes to say Terry used the words 'black c**t' 'rhetorically'

Terry: 'Fans abuse my family, my brother and myself. As a footballer you have to take that on the chin. It's not the first time ...'

Terry: "I was hurt, taken aback & really surprised...I felt really angry..and cross by him questioning me about being a racist.."

Terry says that there was separate 'altercation' in tunnel at the end of game & he & Fitz Hall got respective teams in dressing rooms

Terry: "I said to Ash shortly after 'he's accused me of being a racist'"

Terry: 'I said I needed to speak to Anton. I'm not f****** having him thinking that of me. I got showered sharpish so I could speak to him'

Terry got showered 'pretty sharpish'' after match so he could go and chat with Ferdinand. 'Was you accusing me of calling you a black c**t'

Terry to FA: "I said to Ferdinand (at meeting the game) 'i didn't want you thinking of me in that way'"

Terry: 'I was getting a bit of stick from one of the QPR players [not Ferdinand] about my mum'

FA asked Terry "How sure are you that's what he [Ferdinand] said". Terry: "I'm really sure". Kennedy asks Terry "is it possible you could have heard something else..misheard him" (AF) Terry: "No... "I'm not trying to make stuff up"

Terry says being able to deal with the abuse is why 'we are playing for Chelsea ... it's what separates the elite from rest of the players'

Terry: There are not many places we go - apart from MUFC, AFC, LFC - where we feel it'll be a battle. We feel we've the quality to overcome'

FA asked if Terry was "particularly wound up" in game".He says "no". Way you deal with stuff "separates elite from good players".

Both Terry and Ferdinand sound like incredibly thick cunts.

Cos Ferdinand has made such a fucking huge balls up of it, by the sounds of it, there is no way Terry will be found guilty.

The case is actually scheduled for 5 days .... I 'm hoping to report from the actual court on Thursday (if it lasts that long)

Alot of repetitive stuff this morning so far ... mind the whole case is based on a 2 minute incident so I doubt there is little revelations(if any) to come.

It all depends on whether the judge believes his (totally unsubstantiated) story.

He says he knows all about the camera angles but was quite happy to repeat the words "black cunt" on air, in front of millions.

Would you repeat it ? Or would you just say: "I never said that " Or: "What the fuck are you talking about ?"

He doesn't even ask the question, just repeats it ? Nah. He lost it & lashed out by trying to hurt Ferrdinand as he was hurt himself.

But as I said before, OJ & Harry got off.

Thats the crux thou Ted, he says he's repeating what Anton said to him (in the passion of a gametime situation I can understand that) but as yet they have not show footage of this (more on the Chelsea camera to come later this week I suspect)

At this stage in the trial I'm inclined to believe they are both twats but Anton is the worse .... at the mo anyway. Only my opinion based on the 'evidence' so far mind, so please don't let this sway you in any way whatsoever if you are watching this on catchup .... 'your honour'

Howard Riddle, chief mag, asking if there's any footage of Ashley Cole speaking to Ferdinand after the game. No footage, say prosecution.

There seems no dispute over a conversation having happened between Cole and Ferdinand, however. As we heard yesterday.

Inside court 1 at Westminster Mags. Court being shown match footage with no commentary, QPR v Chelsea.

Prosecution using Prozone stats to show how far Ashley Cole and Ferdinand were from each other around the time of the incident.

Viewing figures from prosecution for the game peaked at 2.3million. Not possible to say how many more were watching in pubs, clubs.

Interview between John Terry and FA at Chelsea's training ground on Oct 28 now being played to court.

Terry points out to FA interrogator on tape that he has played at the highest level for 16 years and never been accused of this before. Terry, when asked how he handled situation: "Hindsight is a wonderful thing."

Terry tells FA that he doesn't have Anton Ferdinand's number in his phone. But they had spoken in London clubs socially.

Terry told FA interview: 'Racism is not a thing that I accept. I'm not allowing people to accuse me of it on a football pitch .... '

Terry tells FA on tape that he gets abuse re alleged affair "on a weekly basis".

'.... and being on front and back pages, and that's why I want it dealt with as quickly as possible.' (Terry, FA int, Oct 28, 2011.)

Terry says he could get "2,000 character witnesses" to say he's not racist.

FA interview finished being played to court now. Terry, in dock, went through it meticulously with a pencil.

Prosecution now call police officer to give evidence. He's Det Sgt Gibson.

Det Sgt Dave Gibson was involved in a police interview of John Terry on October 25, 2011. He's in the witness stand now.

Terry's statement to police now being read to court. DS Dave Gibson is from Fulham police station.

Terry told Police on Nov 25: "I remain the England team captain."

In statement to police, Terry says again that he heard Ferdinand say the words 'calling me a black c***.' Terry says to police: 'My words were responsive and not accusatory.'

Terry adds to police abt his after-game meet with Ferd: 'If he had felt I had made a racist remark to him, it was the ideal time to say so.' Terry told police that his work supporting Marcel Desailly and Didier Drogba's charity work 'demonstrates I'm not a racist'.

Det Sgt D Gibson ev finished. Now hearing s'ment from internet content manager, confirm clips of incident uploaded from 30 mins after game.
