He would only have been a quick fix anyway I reckon. Once they had got to the Prem he would have been found to be out of his depth as usual

I really want to like Forest, so let's hope twitchy doesn't get the job.

Same with Sunderland when Kunto was there, made it very hard to like them even with Big Niall as chairman.

I agree with the general sentiment- they're a great club. Deserve to be in the top flight.

Get shot of Wigan and Reading, and I'll be a happy bunny.

I don't think it's anything as excessive as Hate Dazzler. Just that many English fans consider that the old traditionally big clubs with history should be the only ones who occupy the top division.

One of the great strengths of English football has been its ability historically to regenerate itself through the promotion of stronger teams and the relegation of the weaker. Easy to forget that Arsenal themselves were part of that same process when they gained access to the top division by very dodgy means. Arsenal went on to become a great club. The likes of Reading, QPR and Wigan should be offered that same opportunity.

Always liked Forest, kind of a second team when I was at school. Went to Forest once 1993 I think, and at half time the prize for the HT draw was a life size cardboard cut-out of Stuart Pearce. A few years later I saw this really weird married couple from Nottingham on a TV doc- the husband was well peeved as his missus had this life sized cardboard cut-out of Stuart Pearce in the house, that she used to have at the table with a place set for it and that, and pose round the house. She seemed to love it more than him. Maybe she won the raffle. I imagine he flipped and strangled her at some point. I have no idea why I'm telling you this.

I have no idea why, having started to read it, I bothered to continue. Reckon it must be your Dad's fault.

Well twosips thought it was amazing, and piccs was moved to reminisce, so ner.

I got excited by a trampoline last week. I'm 26. Sadly it doesn't take much to impress me....still. It WAS amazing.

Doesn't the Football League have FFP now? Wonder if it has any teeth.

Especially when Kate Upton is involved.

Nottingham, Sheffield and Leeds are big places to not have to flight football clubs for any run of time.

Sean O'Driscoll was named manager today.
Seems an odd move to sack Cotterill without letting him prove himself.

Looks like he impressed in his time there earlier in the year and maybe is more credited with helping Forest survive in the Championship than Cotterill.
Wouldn't take the new owners long to get the message "it wasn't Cotterill it was Sean what did it"

However they are saying he's a good "Championship" Manager, so we'll see how things go if he does get them up the table

That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes.
