Mancini just confirmed that no plans of letting any player leave unless we sign our target first. That means AJ will be our player until we find a deal to sign Sinclair.

Am a bit gutted for the lad but he's not really going to imporve much more than the level he his at but could see him shining at a lower table team such as s'land.

Good luck to him and hope we get a decent return.

I'm not sure Sinclair for Johnson makes much sense. Neither is going to be a 38 games a season player for us and at least with AJ we know what we're getting. He know's where Bobby wants him to improve and there weren't many better wingers than Mancini back in the day. Look at last seasons highlights and see what AJ contributed, some brilliant stuff (I know its highlights not lowlights) I just don't think Sinclair will reach AJ's technical ability. Sinclair just has more pace, we need pace, but not so much that we sacrifice skill and ability on the ball.

Its a pointless transfer merry-go-round imo.

I'd rather keep AJ. Although it would be great if we had them both.

Well Sinclair is half the footballer AJ is but has extra pace & wants to play for City. AJ, it seems, has had enough & wants games.

One in one out, possibly a small profit. Arry would be proud..

If AJ leaves then its obvious we will have a replacement lined up and ready, best of luck to him where ever he goes, he has scored some beauties but doesn't work for the team

If he leaves I will probably put him in my FF team seen as he will get games score and get a few assists.

Also if Sunderland value Steven fletcher at 12 mil then we must be getting more than that for AJ.

PHEW!
I was worried I was the only one who thought that. Sure he has pace and scores goals every now and then + he is English but no improvement on AJ imo.

Has to be an improvement in attitude. AJ's isn't great.

I think Sunderland will be a good club for him.He will be a key player for them thats for sure.

Hope we get a decent price for him.If this turns out to be another loan deal i will be disgusted.

After spunking 14m on Fletcher yesterday I wouldn´t be surprised. Where would they get another 12 from - they got or getting rid of someone?

If we cant find a buyer for him, I believe the agreement is that we loan him to Everton, so Sunderland better come up with the pennies. AND £14M for Fletcher....ARE....THEY....INSANE????

Might have been mentioned, but wasn't AJ a Newcastle fan growing up? Boro then Sunderland. Doing well.

And I think Fletcher will do a job. It's crazy money, but MON isn't exactly inspiring in the market.

I'm fairly sure he was a Sunderland fan, though I might be wrong.

Adam Johnson due for Sunderland medical ahead of £15m move.

The England international is close to completing a switch from Manchester City in a deal worth £10m plus up to £5m of add-ons after falling out of favour at the Etihad

http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/pre ... f-15m-move

Super sale by the club if true, 15 million in and then 5 million out to get Sinclair as a direct (bench warming) replacement.

Granted many would argue Sinclair is not as good as AJ but if the rumours about his drinking lifestyle are indeed true we are defo best shot of him.

Given the prices paid for other players, Fletcher, for instance and the interest in Johnson from other clubs, £10m plus add ons seems a crap deal for City. English player with international caps. Seems like city are getting turned over at both ends of the transfers. Have to pay too much for players coming in and accepting fuck all for players leaving.

No doubt a talented player, one of the most naturally gifted in the league but like others have said- just not consistent enough. Shame really.
