Obviously not able to get to the games much any more, I made my way over to huddersfield to meet the chap who, with his brother took me under their wings and took me to see City week in week out during the late 80's / 90's. Sadly Tony the older brother died a few years ago but I still go over to watch games with Steve. Had a few ales then made out way to his Nieces house to watch it on the box. Was full of hope prior to the game as felt there was no way we could lose to qpr. I thought the 'typical city' tag had gone.

Was in tatters as they went 2 -1 up and as it approached 90 minutes they kept bringing up rags score. On 90 minutes I was crying like a child who'd just had his puppy put down. Proper tears of sorrow and disbelief. Edin pulled it back and I still felt physically sick.
'THAT' goal was the most amazing thing I have seen for all these years of following City because of what it meant. I cannot explain the emotion or how I felt apart from it was the biggest buzz ever. I ran outside shouting, jumping and screaming my love of City! Steve just sat and cried like a baby, not just cause of what it meant but because Tony wasn't here to see it. Had he been here we would have all been there. Nikki (neice) and Ed were also a proper mess. The whole thing was just so massive. The poznan was done as was all the hugging expressing of love and loads of tears of joy!!!

I will never ever forget that day and when I watch it now I still cry when that goal goes in!!!!

Nothing will top it.....

well maybe a treble will ;-)
