I think its worth saying that when we start with Dzeko, we set up to play tippy tappy Silva/Aguero/Yaya/Tevez style football.

Dzeko is a fish out of water when we play like that.

later in the game, when the long balls are flying forward, the desperation apparent, and crosses start flying in, Dzeko enters the fray and low and behold, he scores.

I wonder how many of his goals are after 60 mins?

Play to his strengths and we get a lot more out of him, but probably negate Aguero/Tevez.......

I think the trick is to keep mixing it up, no 1 striker will be 100% happy but none will want to leave as long as they are treated fairly.

Wtf is with u people, who to let me in i was said u can have your forum, i m here just to read comments i think is worth reading , so i ask u nice to please leave me the fuck alone is that to much to ask ?You win ok so give it a rest....

I think you're right and that's why he will be a super sub. He scores critical goals for us when we need them late on. If he starts in Wednesday, he'll look like he's running with a bag of cement on his shoulders and trap a ball like the first time he's ever seen one. Spurs game apart, I can't think of a single game where he's started and looked the business. Off the bench, wow.

If he'll accept the super sub role, he could get 30 goals a season, no injuries and be a legend by the time he leaves. A bit like a player in a village not far from Manchester was. However, I suspect he wants to play all game every game and I won't knock him for that. Unfortunately, I don't think that can be for us due to our style of football.

Aguero was awesome alongside Forlan at Madrid...a proper little man big man combo. I see no reason why they can't work in a similar way tbh.

Aguero is 5'8" and Forlan is 5'10". Not exactly a classic build for big man small man combo.

Mate,
as I privately said, You have loads of fans on here who are aware that You are a True Blue, not only a Proud Bosnian.
we, as foreigner, take sometime and some pisstaking to learn of not taking every banter, or even every wind up/fishing for fun, personally.
just stick with Your guns, reciprocate the banter, try and learn from Mase, Ant or Doomie how to fish (if Your capable: it takes great skill) and enjoy the Blues community.
MCFC is getting onwards and upwards regardless and so is Edin Dzeko, as an important part of the Team.

that's at least my 5 pence...

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

In Roger Ailes/Donnie Drumpf's words: "don't know it for a fact, but many people say so..."
there must be some truth, then!

Dzeko should be getting more time, he deserves it. Plus it would give Ballotelli the kick up the arse he deserves.. Balo needs to know if you don't put the effort in someone else will take the shirt instead.

What i really like about Edin is that he doesn't miss. Give him a chance and he will score and that is what a poacher does.

And imagine we were thinking of accepting a bid from Bayern for him.

He wasn't especially good when he started last time, but has been exceptionally good coming off the bench.

The big improvement from both him & Balotelli this season is the increase in workrate. Both are working hard for the team & provided they keep it up, they will both have an important part to play this season.

One thing that I liked about the WBA game was the fact that Tevez, with Mario then Aguero, with Edin seemed to be looking to play together more, rather than just ignoring each other & doing their own thing. There has been too much individuality with our front players, with Tevez & Aguero being the only two who actually play together.

Last season, at the start, that wasn't the case; Edin & Aguero seemed to be working on a partnership, then just stopped. Now it looks as if all the forwards are making an effort to learn to play together, which spells big problems for the rest of the league.

Mario & Tevez looked much more of a pairing yesterday, then Serge found Dzeko with a fantastic pass rather than running himself.

He is the best finisher we have bar none and if he were to play a full season he would get 25 goals a season without a doubt imo.

I miss Paulus, he's turned into our new super-sub. Just like his idol.

One thing I can't understand is that when Mancini plays him from the start, why don't we play to his strengths, afterall, isn't it usually the striker that wins you the game?

There is a picture of him with his shirt off on Bluemoon and he looks in really good shape.I remember hearing Yaya say he is probably the strongest at the club, seeing that picture you can see he might be right.
