But he's a good example of someone who was flying high one minute and then quickly out of the picture, like most of the names in this thread.

The official rags version of events begins:

'A “fairytale story” was how Sir Alex described the arrival of Tiago Manuel Dias Correia - better known as Bebe.'

After describing a beief career of 'spectacular strikes', loan moves & 'honing of talent in the reserves' ends:

'Bebe featured in the Reds' 2012/13 pre-season tour, and the next chapter of his incredible tale is still to be written.'

Stephen Ireland - threatened to be world class before absolutely crumbling. Still not sure what went wrong, he was unbelieavbly good for us in that season

SWP - Was great when he left and in his first season back, then he crumbled.

Ronaldinho - was the best player in the world arguably then went shit very quickly.

Kolo Toure - was bloody brilliant for Arsenal for years, hasn't been half the player since he signed for us.

Just to name a few.

Well, seems like most people in this thread haven't read the opening post then. No worries tho, if we left out all the players whose careers petered out due to injuries, age or the one-hit wonders who never were at the top for a considerable time to begin with, there'd be hardly any left to name.
Redondo, however, was a genuinely brilliant player even before his time with Madrid. He was a bit of a stubborn character, which is part of the reason he never had the impact he should've had on the national team, denying him the success & subsequently the reputation as one of the best players of his generation. Injuries ended his career, it's as simple as that & a damn shame it was.

One player who I feel fits in this topic is Ronaldinho. He went rather rapidly from two-time World Player of the Year to a bit of a secondary character at Milan & the national team before he eventually returned to Brasil much too early. Only 32 years, shocking.

Redondo was a fucking brilliant player. Shame about the injuries

Ronaldinho is still scoring goals and looks to have a bit of the hunger back. Albeit in a sub standard league. To be honest he was fucked in Europe when he lost that lightning bit of pace over the first few yards. Still, hes one of the best players i have ever seen.

Scott Sinclair. He just disappeared and right now, I don't think anyone knows where he is. If you're reading this Scott, please call someone at home!
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

Veron is a very decent bet.
For 3/4 seasons, even longer, I thought he was the best midfielder of his generation, then he moved to the dark side.

"He is a fucking great player." "And you're all fucking idiots." - Once said the Drunk(t)ard.

4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

there must be some truth, then!
