He could have just said "No." or even "no. It was a great tackle. The referee made a mistake and that's the end of the matter" if he was being really polite. I just didn't see the need to react in the way he did. Pougatch was just asking a fairly benign and dull question and DP gave him both barrels for it. I'm not advocating just rolling over and playing nice with the press, but just pick your battles. I thought he was entirely right to defend Mancini in the press conference after the Ajax game because some Sky bellend was inferring Roberto was losing the plot, and that needed putting right, but this was just a wider footballing question and didn't deserve the response.
