of course its gone. This team has been under-performing all season, cant see any reason why it will change now. I do think that there will be considerable changes in the summer.

At least a couple of people have said it...we blew it in the summer. Quite a few of us were vocal that even replacing like for like was akin to going backwards in terms of player movements but we actually did go backwards if you factor in the quality of some recruits (Sinclair so far), the time others have taken to settle or get fit (Garcia, Maicon, Rodwell) and the fact that we scored the massive own goal of letting them sign Van Persie.

And who do I blame for that fuck up....the tanned tit who I think likely had Khaldoon's ear on transfer dealings to an extent. Yes, that fucking clown Marwood. And I think it is clear that our manager shares that view

Agreed. Garcia's decent but not a real top class player that we need. Is he significantly better than what Liverpool had?
Rodwell is injury prone and Sinclair was just a poor signing.

I don't think we 'let' them sign RVP. He wanted to go there. He prob looked at us and thought with Tevez and Aguerro finishing last season so well, he'd not get so much game time as he'd like.

The problem is Tevez is massively on the decline in front of goal. Aguerro's not been sharp. Balotelli has gone and Dzeko's done well in front of goal but his all round play has been poor.
When RVP gets a chance, even a half chance you expect him to score- the same can't be said of our front line.

I cant see the team (2013 vintage) getting it back but last years team yes definitely. I dont feel so confident watching us like last year. I think we should find out why we are becoming inconsistent and lets face we have not turned it on so far. I think we need a really good forward Dzeko is OK but somehow he always falls over himself good target man but not quite skilful enough for me.

Mario is gone so why not look for two shit hot ones and ease Dzeko out even the aston villa guys a better bet IMHO benteke we should try him instead of Dzeko and get a deadly type of striker to partner Aguero, a real strike partner for Sergio? If we dont win anything this season with that squad then maybe its tactics or the training.

I pretty much feel like we are second this season despite not having put in a decent 90 minutes more than about 4 times all season. and I'd be pretty hard pressed to name those 4 performances.

In my view, its practically unheard of for Man U to go 2 seasons in a row when they don't win at least one trophy.

Ferguson won't be sated by the FA Cup, but they could just let slip the title, if they're going all the way to the final of the CL.

we didn't weaken... we stood still.

that is worse imo

however, some will have you believe we should still just be enjoying the couple of trophies we have recently won.

2 lessons...

1. never stand still when you're in the ascendency, kick on and win again and again
2. never listen to a socialist

It's gone but who cares. The Rags console themsleves with winning it back, last year was the real story.

Good on yer Ant, you get it all out mate, you'll feel tons better....:-)

Yeah, that Marwood really fucked up the last window too didn't he...I think he should be moved out being in total control of our club and demoted to the Academy.

Is this the right time for a Burgerstain/Tricky Out call Mate?
Jus wondering....:-)

Regardless of how they have got there, they have a remarkable record breaking points total and if they keep that pace up then they will be champions. There is only us that can catch them though and I take some solace from that and still carry a little hope that things may end up close again. When this project started I would have settled for top 2 at this stage and we have to remember that we became champions ahead of schedule.

It's football. Games are not won and lost in paper. People should've learned that by now.

I'm more worried about the lack of options in our midfield rather than rags schedule.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Except for the season Chelsea got more points.

The rest I agree with. We can still catch them. Chelsea might just be able to as well, I suppose, but they have also got to catch us.

I am enjoying seeing a City team as good as this one is even if no other fucker round here seems to want to bother having any fun.

if we were looking stronger at the moment, I would be more optimistic of our chances. The combination of us needing to win some tough games, and the rags needing to lose will make it very difficult for us. vs pool was really an opportunity for us to make a statement.

I am having more fun just enjoying the city games and watching our players develop. I've started watching 'cityTV' more and watching the clubs youtube channel ... there is really some amazing content there that no other club puts out. Despite some rocky performances on the field, it's really making me feel much more connected.

Stepping back from the immediate concern of challenging for hte league title again, I also realize what a monumental achievement it would be for our team to win 2 prem titles in a row after not even being in the picture for so long.

Yes we have a team capable of winning, and we have certainly dropped points that should not have been dropped. But shit happens. We can still have a good cup run and finish 2nd in the league, and i'm sure i'll enjoy following city the whole way.

There's a bigger chance of us slipping rather than catching up. They haven't played well, they have the hunger to win. It seems we had it for one season, we need to start all over again from square one.

You say 'hunger' , i say 'amazed' . I'm pretty convinced most. of their players can't believe their houdini acts week in week out. They will come unstuck.

it took a miracle to win it last season and we played a lot better and scored more goals
it will take a few miracles stringed together to win it this season

Let's try actually winning a couple of games again ourselves before being ready to blame anyone else.

Exceptional post mate , well done.

Anyone remember how the rag cunts bottled it last season ?

Wouldnt it be just sweet if the cocky cunts bottled again even though they are getting help from every quarter both on and off the pitch . Now that would be a party !
