I like you mate but any chance you could pipe down with the sarcasm over how people feel about our season?

It's just that you're doing it in every post and it's a bit annoying.

We're all disappointed with the way the team has performed this season in comparison to last.

We wouldn't be fans if we weren't. No need to take the piss out of those who discuss our shortcomings this season. Even if most believe the main ingredient to be Mancini.

point taken, same am I and same do I.
and same do I like You.

Everton should win their return tie at home and progress and Scum and Chelsea both should progress as well, but by the time next draw comes one of these two (Scum/Chelsea) would be gone too so I guess there is a real possibility of either avoiding the bigger teams altogether in the Semis or getting one of these in Semi and one in the Final ...

Many here would probably like a Final against the Scum and us to thrash them but the mere thought of 'what if we lose that day' gives me shivers, so as much as I'd like that to happen, I'd rather now we got a Semi against another Championship side and then Final against anyone else but them. Seasons gone downhill already and I'd rather we had our share of luck with the draws this time around ...

A lovely draw for a change i thought we'd get rags away.

For what its worth if the draws work out i'd rather have Rags/Chelsea in the Semi.

me too, I certainly don't want the vrags in the final ... I don't want them to even have the glory of reaching the final let alone the chance to piss on our chips in the best domestic cup competition again

It shows how easy it is to compete for trophies if you have a top squad of players.

I'm not suggesting beating Barnsley is a forgone conclusion but the opportunity is there.

In the past (when we were shite) we quite often got situations where the draw opened out in our half, but we had already been knocked out by someone even more shite than us, so some bunch of no marks ended up in the semis when it could have been us if we'd just performed with the slightest bit of professionalism. If you get through games you should win, without fucking up, then every few years, you get a run where you only have to play one Prem team on the way to the semis. On the rare seasons when we did actually get our shit together & not lose to some bunch of car mechanics or postmen, we'd end up getting drawn v the rags or Liverpool etc & whimper out.

In the past we would have found a way of losing to Watford, or Leeds; just like Spurs did.

We couldnt have asked for any more in that draw. Quarter Final is the last round you can get a home tie and we got one, against a team we should beat if we apply ourselves properly and play to our capability.

United and Chelsea getting drawn together also dumps one of them out too. Now if Oldham or Wigan could oblige and get rid of Everton it would be appreciated.

Like others on here Id rather play United in a semi than a final. Good thing is if we do have to take Chelsea/United or Everton out to win this comp, we certainly wont have to beat any of them at Goodison, Stamford Bridge or the shit pit, but rather on a neutral field.

Time to beat Chelsea next week to put 2nd spot to bed, then focus on winning every game we have left but the Cup sould now be priority 1 and 1A given it presents a genuinely realistic chance of silverware. Id be overjoyed to win it.

If we get through to the Semis/Final I would like Chelsea over United or Everton. I'd have more confidence in us beating Chelsea than the other two.

Like someone else said the thought of United beating us in a final makes me feel sick.

Agree. Certainly do not want to face Everton at all as we never play well against them and they play their best performance of the season.

Aka 'doing an Arsenal' nowardays, but without even the slightest hint of a sense of humour in their case.

Usually though, we are Everton's cup final. On that occasion, it would also be ours (or Semi at least).

:-) The last Community Shield SHOULD have been played at Wembley!

But yes, let's keep adding them up. Makes much better news than a few years back!
