Appalled

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

A fast touch and go, just to drop on records that I couldn't anymore live without Your rantings and moaning, Generale.

It too me too much to understand, maybe, but now I live a much better matchday experience.... :-)

Ted, Mate.... Relax and enjoy. You're too smart, for not to, ffs.
We all know that Sparky, given half more season would have certainly took the Club where City won't ever climb, now... but the "ruthess moron" named Khaldoon didn't get it, and I much doubt he shall get on it in the future.

Life can be disappointing sometimes, I know, mate.... :-)

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

Then after those 2 easy games we got lucky against Wigan and only got 3 points.

What a disappointing week.

2 huge wins and an underwhelming one makes a great week for me and I was thinking just yesterday how much the general mood on here had warmed up a lot.

I was ut of the contry & then I've stayed off here & will continue to, because I've got very little good to say, so I don't want to spoil other people's enjoyment of the end of season & Cup Final. I can't bite my tongue & kiss arse when I know stuff is wrong, so I'm off.

Just for the record though, the 2nd best team has walked away with the title.

It's not about winning every year, it's about competing. We didn't compete. I want our team to compete so no, I'm not happy. I'm not spoilt either, I just KNOW City are better than Utd & I recon you all know it too, but some of you are pretending not to.

we have fucking blown it BIG STYLE.

Utd have beaten the utter shite which has been put in front of them & we have lowered our standards & used their winning run as an excuse not to do the same. Any team worth it's salt would have pushed them & they would have bottled it. Unfortunately. City, Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea are not good enough to even challenge them.

A season of proper football followed by 2nd or even 3rd place is no problem for me.

A season of vastly underachieving AND THE MANAGER IS STILL TRYING TO FUCK ABOUT WITH THE SYSTEM WHICH STARTED IT AL!!!! In the middle of a game, he makes it 10 times worse, just to try & get a performance out of that lumbering bag of fucking shite in midfield. Ends up taking him off. Oh but we coul;d have had Martinez lumbering about instead, then we would have won the Champions League. Bollocks.

Anyway I'll enjoy the cup final from a distance & perhaps the rags will spunk the title away just like we have, because they are nothing, but I doubt it unfortunately.

All the best.

Dont be a fuckign pussy Ted for fucks sake !! I have the same mindset as you as far as the footballing comments are concerned but I will be fucked if I care about upsetting NQDP or any other cunt on here that do no like my rantings or moanings , I would like to think Im very fair when it comes to analyzing a match (Maybe not during a match thread!!) - match threads are neither here nor there , they are all mostly knee jerk comments especially mine ffs !!!!

If you do not carry on posting you will get a cyber bitch slap from me you cunt.!!!

You're misunderstandig me mate, I'm not worried about offending people or taking umbrage at anyone, I've just got nothing to add. I don't want to keep sticking my oar in saying the same shite & I'll just end up arguing with every cunt when they point out how wonderful everything is & how we once played Grimsby etc.

I'd rather let everyone celebrate & then join in when it becomes interesting to talk football again rather than just being a moaning cunt boring even myself by saying the same thing & I tend to have to speak up. I'm going to be away a lot anyhow.

There's a new season on the horizon & I'm already there in my mind tbh, this one belongs to those red twats.

We will agree to disagree.

For me he is slyly maneuvering himself in to position, whilst undermining our manager.

What he said was unhelpful and was always going to be took out of context and used as a stick to beat Roberto. He insinuates that Roberto failed with 2 objectives,so therefor our season is a failure regardless.

Perhaps Vieira wants to go back to Arsenal , as we have read in the media recently?

The problem with this thread ( and it has been quite common since the rags opened up a significant gap) , is that the analysis is being made as if it's the end of the season and it isn't.

I'm quite sure the very professional management City has in place will make the right decisions for the next season.

WHU can't go further into debt to buy a player they want from a team that don't want him . All because we are not allowed to affect United and Arsenal being at the top of the pile !

Something has to give and when it does City will have the resources to take advantage of it, thanks to our generous owner.

On Vieira, I confess that I did't see anything of that bollox, but having followed and admired him all along his career, since early days at the Gooners, i'd tend to adjust this a typical shit stirred by the press, perhaps starting from an original speech like "it's quite disappointing that we could have done better, given our overall quality, with maybe some good luck on crucial moments of the season, but years like this happen every now and then".

Patrick Vieira is not only a genuine Mancini's mate, like Potato is, but mainly is a worldwide acknowledged Legend of the Game, not only thanks to his very impressive achievements on the pitch, but also to his clever mind.
I'd be surprised that he actually had released a pointless daft statement as if he was a Bellers whatsoever.

Do you really think Mancini would be livid? Personally, I think he'd give exactly the same answer. I'm not a big fan of Mancini but one thing I will say about him is he's a winner and a bad loser. You only have to read some of things about him when he was a player to see that.

He may not have care less about the league cup, but I suspect he'd have wanted/expected to win the league and Champions League and maybe the FA Cup whilst he was at it.

He'll be furious that the club didn't buy the players he thought were required and he'll be furious at the players he's got for not doing well enough (he's publicly criticised the entire forward line, Nasri, Hart and Richards so far this season, so god knows what he says in private).

Vieira was brought by Mancini to be his ally in the dressing room when he first came in. He obviously trusts him. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the interview that Vieira gave was what Mancini wanted him to say - it gives the players another kick without it being Mancini or one of the coaches doing it.

It doesn't put any pressure on Mancini from the owners, just from the press, and I don't think the club could care less what they say about Mancini, as long as they don't paint the club (and therefore Abu Dhabi) in bad light. I doubt Mancini cares what the Sun/Mirror thinks either.

I've supported City since 1976 when I first became interested in football. I've no brothers or sisters and my Dad was mainly a Salford rugby fan (a team I also follow). At school, the majority supported our neighbours and there were the few glory hunters who supported Liverpool. The rags didn't rule the roost back then so without any guidance I had a choice to make. As both teams were of similar standing it was probably more of a dilemma than somebody in my position would've had during the premier league era. I chose City. What did I base my decision on at 8 years old? The sky blue kit. Always preferred blue to red so that was it, colours nailed to the mast.

During my 37 years of following City (I'm 45) it has been some ride. Got my first kit at 10 and went to my first game in the same year (1977). We beat Leeds 2-1 with both goals from Kiddo. In 1981 I cried when we lost the cup final and at the time thought 5 years without a trophy was a long time. During the 80s and 90s I went home and away. These days due to Wife, daughter, work, mortgage etc I watch the games on-line.

So far during my lifetime, we have reached 4 cup finals. The first i'm too young to remember, the second I don't want to remember, the third was the first time I'd seen us win anything of note and now again this season. Last season I'll admit I was surprised we won the pl as soon as we did. When the takeover happened I had this schedule in my head and this was supposed to be the season we really challenged for the title so to my mind we won it ahead of schedule.

Over the years we've endured relegations, humiliating defeats especially in derbies, and the abuse from family and friends that go with it, sprinkled with the good times like the promotions and the last 3 years. We're dining at the top table now along with the rags and Chelsea and we're gonna be part of that 3 way struggle for the top prizes. The nature of the beast is that we won't win every trophy every time. Nobody has and ever will. Such are the fine margins that in the final reckoning I think van pursies goal will be very significant at the end of the season. I'm happy in the knowledge that after so long supporting City that we can now go to the swamp without fear and when the medals are handed out, we're in the shake up. Can't wait for my 3rd cup final. Ctid.

I wouldn't say that 'everything's alright' now but I would say that I'm proud of our achievements so far this season - only one team ahead of us out of all the teams in england and us through to the FAC final having just owned 'that team' in it's own backyard last week.
No everything's not alright but it's a damn sight better for us than it is for most and a damn sight better for us than we've been used to for donkeys years. I was a out on the terraces in the late 60's / early 70's when we had our last golden spell and this one's eclipsed that one already and is moving fast on an improving trajectory.
On second thoughts - considering where we're at now in the perspective of our history - IMHO yes everything is alright now.
If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.

Fan since 76 eh? Glory hunter!

My first football memory is being taken to town to see the open top bus from the 76 final. And whilst I can't remember my first game, I have for a ticket from the '77 Leeds game, when I was only 5, so suspect it could have been mine as well. Kidd was my favourite player when I was little as well, so those two goals may explain it.
