i see this, if there is any shred of truth to it, as a backup center half and back up to Clichy.

Isn't he a left back? So perhaps Kolarov's replacement?

Cavani for £50m buyout worries me.

Lewandowski going for £25m? Swap for Dezeko plus £5m?

Then we still have 45 to get a midfielder with pace and an engine Reus? And Isco?

Out has to be Kolarov and Dzeko.

Daily Star, believe what you will.
MANCHESTER CITY are closing in on a deal to sign the Isco kid.

They are in advanced negotiations with his club Malaga and the Spain winger’s representatives.

Isco, 21, has a £27million buy-out clause in his contract with the Champions League quarter-finalists.

The exciting midfielder is highly rated by Malaga coach Manuel Pellegrini, who is regarded as a candidate to replace Roberto Mancini as City boss if the FA Cup finalists decide to make a change.

City’s move for Isco is being led by the Spanish duo of CEO Ferran Soriano and sporting director Txiki Begiristain.

Wonder where the red over the last couple of days leaves everything?

There's been an assumption that Dzeko was off. Despite all the arguments over how good he is, the one thing everyone seems to agree on is that he didn't suit our system. However, if the system is changed? RSC has done well for Malaga and is a similar sort of player.

Well now i guess Pellegrini will chose who stay and go.
You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.

All bets are off as to who comes and goes if we're gonna change manager - pellegrini may well want to keep dzeko and play to his strengths as a target man

Think you mean ifhewasfit

I wasn't suggesting him coming back, by the way, more wondering if Pellegrini would play in a way that makes the best of a target man and if that means that Dzeko may stay.

I've just seen on skybet that we remain favourites to sign Cavani. Strange seeing as we might not even have a manager.

Falcao is now 1/8 to end up at...

That's the thing, Mancini might be the last "manager" in traditional sense we will have. It's Beguiristain and the boys that will do the shopping. We will have head coach from now on. Some fucking puppet to set up the tactics and smoke cigar on sideline.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?
