I think it's fair to say that his last season was spoiled because Pep was coming and in all fairness, I think the problems of the second season can at least partly be put down to that as well.
Loved his first season. It was such a pleasure to watch us play.
Yes but it was just so clear from the get go that he was going to be goner sooner or later. Found really hard to really root for someone I KNEW wouldn't be around long term. But yeah, I will never forget the titles he brought us.
Carl called the biggest mistake of Pellegrini's regime: should have tried to replace Yaya after the first season in charge. No not sold, but not relied on him. Tough ask I know with one of the best players in the world at your disposal but nonetheless true.
True. But Pep is addressing that now.
I'll always respect Pellers for his double, but I am excited, by what I've seen of Pep so far. I don't think we'll sweep all aside this year although if we're in contention in the New Year, who knows what may happen.
But, I like the fact that certain things that we all saw as problems are being addressed and no player will be allowed get in the way of what is good for the team.
That's a start, but he has quite a few areas to address. Given time I'm sure he is the best man to get it right.
