On other hand, not a "cheap" option, but if Cavani goes to Madrid, Suarez is coming to us.
That's an intriguing call Peter because Suarez is busily burning his bridges at Liverpool and it may transpire that Madrid don't sign him. That could leave him in the awkward position of having been replaced at Liverpool but not having made a transfer - if that happens then the whole 'I want to get away from the English media' thing might melt away as reality sets in and his market value diminishes for a period. They might be thick but the scousers will grasp that fact and the eventual understanding that they have his salary alongside his replacements. . . they could've coped when John Moores was pouring his pools millions into the club but not in this modern day when they have to earn their keep.
The obvious issues are that our club is unlikely to want to employ the little piranha for reputational reasons and it would need to be a last gasp end of window action. So it's extremely doubtful but the notion of Suarez playing alongside Agruero does tickle my spuds.
If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.
