I expect us to be much better in attack so that will add a few to the current squad total, but I still don't see us being Champs without adding more goals to the squad, as I fear we will let more in.

Even that's very positive. Navas at least has a poor shot in him. He is good at setting up other people but pretty trash in front of goal.

We need more goals Pelli will have that info from Txiki, we also be so dominant on the ball players will be scoring goals or benched, I love Silva, he is the worst culprit for failing to bury chances or even take the best option which is the shot at times. If we want a fix then the best finisher even at 31 is Villa, he knows the role and is a fresh 31 with an injury free run a top proven player who will know the systems Pelli will use..

In the last 5 seasons, he's scored, 5, 10, 2, 5 & 1 so I don't think it's too outrageous to think he could get 5 or 6 in a much better team, under an attacking manager. Fernandinho hasn't scored many in recent seasons, but before that he was getting into double figures, so I see him as another Yaya, who will be used much more as an attacking weapon for City than he has been recently at Shakhtar. But of course it could be the case that they only score one each.

It will still leave us short even if they do get a few though, as when we won the league we had Balotelli, Adam Johnson & Tevez all chipping in, plus Aguero scoring for fun. I kept posting during our title winning season, that Aguero seemed quite often to be limping, & imo, he gets a problem when he puts in too many sprints & is then not 100% for a period afterwards. It caught up with him last season.

Him & Dzeko are both unreliable for one reason & another imo, Guidetti is unproven & unfit.

We definitely need more goals.

Goals will be:
main 2 strikers (maybe Aguero and Dzeko) 50
3rd /4th strikers 18
yaya 7
Silva 8
Fernandinho 6
Jesus 6
Nasri 8
Defenders/Barry/Garcia 6

No problems at all from where I sit .The season's going to great.

I see MF geting a shed load, Kun wil be the jack in the box and more. Just hope his Hammy's can handle the work load, Get Villa in for a 15/20 goal season upto the World Cup 50% back to Valencia in a year or two.

I feel as though this will be the season when Nasri finally produces what we all know he's capable of on a regular basis. He ended last season very strongly and I'm hoping for big things now.

Hah! I remember there was a poll long ago "where will our goals come from". it must've been during Pearce era as I'm fairly sure there was replies (which were Not WUM's unlike you'd imagine) like
Corradi 15
Dickov 10
Dunneymonster 5 etc etc. players & goal amounts may have been different but you catch my drift

I see where you're coming from and at times I felt last season that he wasn't willing to try to get past a man as if he's afraid Bobby Manc would give hhim a bolllocking if he loses possession. Couple of encouraging performances towards the end of the season so hopefully he will kick on from here.

Then again, I was expecting him to grow a pair before last season too tho and see how that worked out!

Without doubt we need 4 strikers to compete in ALL competitions . The worrying bit now is Cavani is way way overpriced , Lewandowski hit and miss to say the very least , Higuain the same so the even more worrying bit is that leaves Suarez as a viable option ffs . Maybe we are in for Bale ????? who knows ????? RE again the worrying bit ....... the goals dried up for us last season hence we won fuck all , now we only have 2 strikers !!!! Lots and lots of work to be done by the spanish suits it seems ASAP !!!

Polite speak for he isnt that good imho ...... certainly not better than Tevez or Balotelli either . Football does tend to prove most of us wrong though.

I think Lewandowski would score 30 + if we got him.I would prefer him over Cavani, especially at the silly price being asked.

I'd say about 20-25, but most importantly, he'd make our midfielders look better. Something Dzeko & Aguero fail to achieve most of the time.

To be honest, I don't rate either Gomez or Lewandowski, but I too think they would both score goals & the more I think about £52 mil for Cavani, the more I would rather see us sign either of them.

I wouldn't mind him for the right price as a 2nd/3rd option, but we'd have to organise some kind of suicide hotline for the Dzeko haters with the prospect of Dzonkey & Gomule upfront.

He is lazy as fuck. Great finisher but otherwise puts zero effort in.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I'm fucking shitting myself,

Selling Tevez and Balo without a top class replacement is suicide. A recipe for disaster!

God forbid Aguero get injured, can Dzeko platy upfront alone striker? NOP.

Pellegrini will regret not buying a top striker once again for the second season running.

I sincerely hope we're lining up a GOOD replacement!

What about the lad Jovetic (probably spelt wrong, apologies)?

A lot has been said in the past about him and apparently he is available for a decent price.

What do people know about him?
