Nasti should be back for Hull..but a pairing of him and Lescott isn't ideal. One of them will have to play on the right...

We need to get another cb in ASAP. Can't have this going on all season. Garcia at cb gives me palpations.

Mahmadou Sakho from PSG would be the ideal solution for us!

I honestly think that Vince fucked up playing for Belgium and I think I called it that he'd go down sooner or later but had to play on at the time.

Vince is ace but we all make mistakes now and then.

You would have to wonder why he went in like he did in that tackle while being 3-0 up. I suppose its the way he is.

That part of the pitch is cursed for Vinny.

Were he not being touted as a potential world class right back a couple of years ago.

Whats happened? Has he not come on as expected, is he now a centre half?

I think Rodwell could do the job of covering for a couple of games.

He's played there before (probably with lescott). Good in the air, quick, not afraid of a tackle. Would much prefer him there than Garcia.

That's a great suggestion. Quick over he ground also to recover from any positioning issues. I hope the Count sees this as an option.

Rodders is not a great suggestion, maybe dropping in there after a few games on during if we had a man sent off but 1st game back with Bellers snapping around. I think Pelli will sort it out.

I don't know who you're thinking of, but it's not him. He's been a centrehalf for as long as I can remember with a couple of games at left back IIRC.

Didnt he come from Hamburg as a midfielder? #33?

Rodwell could possibly make a centre back one day, but just throwing him in there would probably be a disaster for us & for him.

Whether Garcia will be a bigger disaster is a point though.

On this issue regarding centre backs, Carl is right for once; we need another one.

When we started off battering everyone two seasons ago, we had the whole PL running scared; we looked invincible. Then in came Savic & everyone saw we were vulnerable & played us with more confidence.

A burst of comedy defending in the next few games & our psychological advantage from Monday's performance has gone.

Four top cbs all playing regularly is doable.

There doesn't seem to be any talk at all of Boyata playing.

If the club doesn't think he's capable of being our 4th choice centre back, then considering he's played first team football for us, Bolton and FC Twente, maybe we should consider moving him on?

I've always thought he's done well when he's played for us, although admittedly his loan spells weren't that great. I think he'd be fine playing against Cardiff with Hart, Lescott, Clichy and Zab around him, especially as he's played in big matches before against United and Chelsea.

Not sure if the management see it that way. If so, I wonder why we've kept him.

I would rather see Boyata at cb than Garcia. Garcia is too slow and his reading of the game is terrible. Our firepower should see us through our next games though. We defo need Nasty or Komps back by the time we play the rags. Preferably both of them.

The idea may have been to gradually bring Boyata into the defence over the season, then possibly let JL go, next season, & use Boyata as 4th cb.

I doubt that chucking him into a new system 1 game in, was ever a plan.

Garcia NO way he hasn't a clue how to play at centre back, no vision, too slow to react to danger just not a natural defender.. Rather see yaya back there and Rodwell in midfield.
