Obviously not an authentic source but just another blog ... as others have answered, it was all over news and each game especially Stoke games that commentators and pundits kept referring to how they have had to move their side lines right to the edge of their grounds to meet new standard pitch sizes by PL.

I'm on holiday and checking the forum on and off on my phone, will search up and find you authentic links when back in another week's time but am pretty certain this happened last year on. Yes, the year before, the title winning season, we did have a wider and longer pitch than the rest.

Strange conclusion - they have to, unless they have a compelling reason (IE ground restrictions) for a non-standard pitch. The rules are the same this season as last season (which I quoted in my last post). For this season's handbook it's 'Premier League Rules' section K rules 15-21.
