We will have another shitty group.

I reckon Bayern again.

So long as the leg in Munich is scheduled during Oktoberfest again that would be my dream draw!!

The skewed pots ... Runner up of Europa league in pot 1 but runner up of CL in pot 3 ... that sums it up for me. Forget us complaining about being in pot 3, imagine what Dortmund fans are shitting about ...

We've had Bayern and Real Madrid from Pot 1 before, maybe we'll get Barca this time ... from Pot 2 AC Milan and Balo to score an injury time penalty against us and well who cares who comes from Pot 4 as with us in the group even the three tough sides are enough to make it a group of death.

4 FC Copenhagen, Napoli, Anderlecht, Celtic, Steaua Bucuresti, Viktoria Plzen, Real Sociedad, Vienna!

Take your pick Vienna is worst team .

Pot two is a very strong group of teams.

Anyway you look at it, we will be against some amazing teams that will provide us with more champions league excitement and dread.

I would take
Benfica or Porto
CSKA or Milan even Schalke
City
Viena or Celtic
but with our luck we will get
Bayern M. or Bacelona
PSG or Juventus
City
Napoli or Real S.
Now i will try to guess what we will get
Real Madrid
CSKA
City
Victoria Pilzen
I miss just 1 pot if we don't go from this group then i don't know

You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.

Yeah i was thinking about that and Chelsea get more points for win in Europa League then Real Madrid in semifinal of CL , so that Europa League with this points u get and that one spot in CL is not for avoiding any more. Dortmund in pot 3 that is insane.

Benfica or Porto out of the top pot would be helpful.

Avoiding PSG & Juve out of pot 2 would be desirable.

Avoiding Napoli and Sociedad in the bottom pot preferable.

So, Bayern, PSG, city and Napoli it is then knowing our luck.

Will be funny as fuck if scum gets group of death this time and don't make it past the groups ... owing to getting AC Milan or Juve from Pot 2 and Balo or Tevez scoring against them in a must win game for them ... Dortmund and Napoli obviously from the remaining two pots.

these draws have a slight fixing to them I think we figured this out the last couple of years. To boost ratings and let the big elite get through. So group of death is most likely again.

Remember the last two groups filth had?

Basel, Benfica, Otelul - two years ago
Galatasaray, Cluj, Braga - last year.

A disgrace.

I think who we get out of pot 4 will decide how we will do in the group stages. Apart from Munich, Madrid and Barca you could pretty much throw a blanket in terms quality over the teams in pot 1/3.

Napoli could qualify from any group and Celitc would probably beat us at Parkhead. Having watched many useless away performances against inferior teams who are massively up for the game I would not fancy going there at all.

Theres no way of fixing how the balls are drawn out once they are in their respective pots. If we get a hard group then so be it.

Really? How about ball temperature or texture to help you decide which to pick?

There is no need to fix it. With the seedings, not being drawn against another from your nation and the TV scheduling then it's near enough all set in place.

Several years back, a friend worked with a Norwich fan who booked flights and hotels in Munich for the away leg of their game against Bayern. The day before the draw.

My mate (a rag who didn't believe they'd got lucky in the draw on their way to the cup winner's cup final) was with him when he booked the flights etc and couldn't understand why he was doing it.

Maybe he just got really lucky guessing who'd they'd play and which way round the home legs would be. Or maybe it had something to do with his friend who worked for UEFA.

Either way, he got it bang on and had flights and hotels booked the day before they became really expensive.

Not saying it's still fiddled, as it's much more transparent with the seedings etc and from what Platini said about it not being right to have a group of 4 champions like we had last season, maybe it'd be in our favour anyway.

But the only way we'll get easier groups is if we start getting out of them. Suspect that could be more important than the PL this season.
