You've gotta love Sky, ain't ya. Going around the grounds with expectation and anticipation, the Emirates is a sea of joy with kids playing up for the camera. Liverpool is very similar but then, they hit Carrington (not the Blue side) and you see a couple of people sat on the kerb in the background whilst the commentator is asked 'WILL there be any signings there!'. Glum faces all around as they await Tranny entering stage left.

Absolutely wonderful scenes, it lights up the cockles of my heart it does.

It's still early days yet but the manager must recognise that Ferdi and Navas , like jojo and Negredo, need to be introduced slowly. At least i hope that is what Brian Kidd is telling him. Barry is a very important player for us

I see Chelsea have allowed Moses to go on loan to the Dippers. Must mean that they aren't worried about them in the league. They're also talking Ba to Arsenal on loan. I wouldn't have thought Chelsea would have that, would they?

Got a feeling though that the Moses deal will be with a view to a permanent move and they've given up on him as a Chelsea player.
Ba's a strange one. He can be a very good striker and is a handful on his day.

I can appreciate the sentiment but only on an emotions level. I like the guy and I thought he was a real trooper for us under RM but I don't think that he has a place with us anymore.
My reasoning is that I believe that while he was very effective playing the defensive role in a deep lying midfield (a la Mancini), where his experience and anticipation were beneficial attributes that mitigated his extremely limited pace, MP plays a high defensive line which pushes everything upfield and requires those with defensive duties to be able to hare back down the field at breakneck speed vying against the oppositions breakaway counter attack.
Let's face it, Barry ain't got breakneck speed and wouldn't have it even with a rocket up his jacksie.

The defensive problems we've witnessed / suffered so far are, I feel, virtue of 2 changes, a transition from zonal marking to man to man marking - that can be drilled into the players and I expect to see fast improvement in our defensive organisation especially with Demichelis arriving. The more 'Barry focussed' transition is the move to the aforementioned new high line and a consequent need for speed that has made Barry redundant at City because he isn't and never has been made for speed.

If you look at the players recently introduced you'll note that both the midfielders, Navas and Fernandinho, are built for speed / tailor made for MP's system of play.
If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.

SSN reporting that a blacked out car with Belgium plates has just rushed into Evertons training ground and they suspect it's Fellaini in talks with Martinez about a move to the Rags and that if the Rags deals go through it could be their biggest spend since 2006.

Apart from the obvious 'Why would you drive from Belgium when you can fly?' what's this about the Rags biggest spend. Who else is in the pipeline that will take them over last years *65 million?

can't see how he would improve us, can't see them agreeing terms with the scum..
