NYC is going to be a long shot unless there is a rule change. MLS is run differently than what most of you are use too. Technically Manchester City does not own New York City FC. The league is single-entity. MLS owns NYCFC and Manchester City is an investor-operator of the team and owns a share in the league. All contracts for players are owned by MLS not the individual team. So enter players that enter the league it is decided by the league or through a draft where that player will ended up. So any of our youth players that enter the league could end up playing anywhere. The exception to the rule is a designated player. Which non of our youth players would be. Those are the high paid players that are in the league. Some of the current DP's in the league Clint Dempsey, Thierry Henry, Robbie Keane, Tim Cahill and Landon Donovan.
