Can I just ask, as no on else seems to have bothered?

Was Kompany actually fit?

Good question.
If he wasn't then he's a good actor.

There were a couple of moments early in the game when he went full stretch to make interceptions and also a couple where he had to turn really quickly. If his knee was really impeding him then I doubt he'd be able first to do that and second to carry on without obvious limping. I know he made one particularly bad error but if you look back at the game there were several instances where if he'd not got a touch then Liverpool were in for a good chance.

Sterling got to the ball, facing our goal, before Kompany arrived.

If Hart had stayed on his line, & Sterling had smacked it past him before he could move, would that have been correct positioning ?

That's what gets me, that's why I said it was understandable that Hart came off his line.

I'd like to know what those that are blaming Joe would've done in his shoes? Perhaps anyone that has experience of that type of situation ( Dazby, Sis etc. ). If someone gets behind the last man should the keeper not come out to close the angle/make themselves big?

exactly. after the training incident on saturday, i was surprised to see him start, and it was obvious from the off that his movement was restricted. prob would have been better off with lescott.

edit: oh, and you can try to spin it however you like, but hart was a completely donkey for their first.
